Did you ever have one of them? Today was it for me. Got up which is always a good sign, practiced the guitar for a half an hour, got the wife up by serenading her with an acoustic version of The Tubes' White Punks On Dope, fed the tortoises and we drove down to a reptile show to pick up around 50 pounds of frozen feeders, hit a tobacco store and picked up a blend I'd never tried before, drove home and chucked the rodents in warm water to thaw out, we hopped on the Triumph and dropped a pair of leather pants off at the tailor's to have them hemmed to fit, rode home and it was warm enough to put the tortoises outside, fed the boas, pythons and monitors and gave them all fresh water, did some maintenance on the bike and went out for the obligatory test ride (ya gotta do that), hung out with the tortoises who are in Heaven as they're finally outside again, the mail man delivered a service manual I'd ordered, my wife came home and she had picked up a really nice vintage leather Wilson hat for me and now it's time to practice the guitar a little more, eat dinner, watch a movie and do the boy/girl thing. Days where everything just seems to go perfectly are so rare. Has anyone else here had one recently? | ||

Offhand, I'd say that's Dinosaur BBQ, with a bunch of Buellers in attendance. For me, yesterday was pretty superfantastic. Did a quick 123 mile loop including Blood Mountain and lunch at Two wheels of Suches. My new helmet fits perfectly, bike running sweet on ethanol-free gas. Then I came home to see Marc Marquez had clinched the pole position at CotA. Follow that up with an afternoon of shooting bourbon and watching the rest of the MotoGP qualifying rounds with the wife.  Today, another beautiful day, but yard work is on the schedule... so not quite as nice. | ||

Pwnzor got it on the first try.  It was our First Northeast Buell Gathering at the Dinosaur BBQ in Stamford, CT. I'm sure others will be posting more photos in that thread shortly. (Message edited by jaimec on April 12, 2015) |
