Vern- of course you're welcome to come snore with us! Micah will need earplugs though. Still not sure about Jeremy showing up, so that 3rd bed is a definite possibility. So- looks like no camper, no Sandy? Roll on down in that Vette! |

Weather forecast is looking decent:
Of course this is 4 days ahead of time; I'm sure it'll change completely by Friday. |

Vern, park your 4-wheeler next to the ATL Courier van... I'll be there early Friday to unload my bike in the daylight and go run the roads a bit. |

For you guys that haven't been there since Bill reopened.parking for non two wheeled vehicles is just south of the driveway into the lodge.Coming from the north you go past the lodge and down a row of trees and see a sign for parking to the right, coming from the south it is just before the driveway on your left. |

We're still figuring out our plans... We penned in a somewhat last minute Easter trip to PA and don't want to have the lil guy on the road two out of 3 weekends. I'll see how the weather hold and will probably either ride/drive down early Sat am and head for home Sunday. I'll keep ya'll apprised. CarLost/Kristi/Brankin- you guys I assume are trailering? When are you leaving? |

Damn straight, Tim- I'd like to hear your plans for Nashville... not sure I'll tag along, but I might for a day. I GOTTA get back for a day or 2 next week and beat back the honeydo list, which includes: Reorganizing the shed (might take a week!) Relocating our garden, prep for planting Wiring/installing new outdoor stereo speakers Swapping chiminea for patio table Prepping for fresh deck stain, 3+ coats Waging war on landscape weeds Pressure washing the house Laying down new media for the dog-watch "racetrack" !!! Then, getting the inside of the house ready for Spring cleaning... DAYUM I'm tired just thinking about it! Makes me wanna go on a MC ride for sure! |

Unfortunately Two Wheels has a 25 person minimum for Friday dinner, below that they can't pay the overhead. The good news is that we get to ride to eat!We have a choice of two great barbecue joints in two different directions. We'll decide Friday. |

Hunnh?! I've not paid attention to roll call lately- didn't we get close to 25? Oh well... I understand completely- I'm in the restaurant biz too. Here lately, the weather's killed a few nights for me and my crew- it don't matter how good the grub is, folks aint gonna go out when it's just TOO crappy and risky. Making the numbers work is tricky sometimes. I'm in for some killer Q though! Dalhonega had several good restaurants a few years back... |

The good news is that we get to ride to eat!We have a choice of two great barbecue joints in two different directions. We'll decide Friday. Is there a cut off time to be at a certain place by a certain time Friday? If I'm not going to be able to make it to the prescribed point by the prescribed time, I'd like to be able to get a bite on the way so I don't end up having to gnaw off my roommates arm later that evening - survival of the fittest, you know... Even though I've got an extra special lunch stop planned for my ride down on Friday, I'm sure I'll need something for dinner! BBQ does sound good in case I can make it in time, though... 1313 |

Hey,I'm kind of partial to my arms,no arm gnawing allowed!According to the interweb,it gets dark around 7:45 in Suches.I'm not real fond of riding in the mountains in the dark so if we leave Two Wheels around 5:30 we might make it back before dark. |

I am leaving Arkansas Thursday morning and making my way to Nashville or someplace close for day one. I will ride in the rest of the way on Friday. I might end up on the sportier version of my last geezer glide, the K1200LT instead of the RT I posted up earlier. I did a quick round trip to Texas and back on Sunday. It was just shy of 500 miles and I realized just how out of shape I was for a long distance ride. The bigger and plusher K12LT will help keep me sane for the 2 day run east and then the 2 day run back. Seeing everyone post up on meeting up coming in, maybe I should ask where everyone is meeting in TN. I might be able to swing the right time to ride in with the group. I'm curious... Where exactly is there GOOD barbeque up there? The only place I can think of is all the way up in Murphy, NC. There was a very good place up in Blairsville, but it closed down a couple years ago. |

Wolfpen Country Store (formerly known as Dale's), right across the street from TWO, seems to serve food pretty regularly based on their FB page; that might be another possibility. |

"Where exactly is there GOOD barbeque up there? " Smokin' Gold BBQ is right off the square in Dahlonaga and Big Jim's Smokin' Que is on 129 south of Blairsville.Either one is a good bet,Jim's is the best Que in the mountains. |

I don't think Wolfpen Store is doing much for food these days, but I could be wrong. At any rate I'm up for BBQ and a ride on some of the best roads in the Southeast! |

Micah- I'll be riding out Friday AM from Mur-vil, maybe we could meet in Tellico Plains. I'd LOVE to grab a bite to eat at Tellico Grains Bakery, see if we can wait out the last of the TN rain, then roll south on TN68/GA60 to make it by mid-afternoon. Good news is, you'll be an hour ahead of me coming from Nashvegas, we could/should meet up and head down the last stretch together. Pwn- if we had a head count, it wouldn't be too big a deal to whip up a simple dinner at TWoS- or, we could barge in at C3 Central... bringing provisions and beverages of course. a lot depends on the weather changing as Friday progresses. Still time to discuss... |
