I'm bringing back the Res Ride this year in Altoona, PA. For everyone that has been to this event in the past, we will have the same agenda as usual and hitting most of the same fun and twisty roads as before. This time I want to hit some roads we never did before so we can hit a lunch spot at the new Clem's BBQ in State College (Home of Penn State University). What I ask for all of you is to give me what weekend would be best for you in the month of July. For anyone that has never been to this event in the past, this is a ride you don't want to miss. Here in central Pennsylvania (Blair, Centre, Cambria, and Huntingdon County) we have twisty mountain roads that were made for a Buell/EBR. This is a "spirited" pace ride, however, I'm a firm believer in being only as fast as your slowest rider; especially when everyone is on unfamiliar roads. I will post all the logistics later, but what I need now is a consensus on the best weekend for everyone in July. Thanks, Chris |

This is a FAST ride - it's the one where I faded a set of Lyndall Golds to zero while running 2 up on the Uly years ago. Good bunch of folks to ride with, though, and they do pace it for the slowest rider (seems we just had a pack full o' speed demons that year!). Also, some great roads. Definitely. July is out there for forecasting right now, but first and maybe second weekends are booked for me doing gigs. I'll keep an eye on the thread, and if it turns out I'm not booked the weekend of the ride...I may just slide on up on the CR (since I don't have to worry about that whole "two up" thing anymore!) Thanks for the note, Chris! |
