Only a maroon would mistake that for a nitrous bottle. Who's weak now? " Yeah, youre right, LOTS of things on vehicles have a valve knob and a braided hose running to the intake... Piss off man, you know good and well that your boy is trying to pretend he has nitrous on a bike. |

"Hatermomentspass"? Damn, Hy, take a chill pill, maybe head out to an art gallery in this crappy weather! I'm still digging it- on second/third look, I'd see about getting a dropped bar-end mirror, black, and get the front forks blacked out too. That way, most of the bike remains black, except the seat post/brackets. My $.02 won't getcha too far, though. |

I think if someone wanted people to think a bike had a NOS system, they would use a NOS bottle. In this case someone sees a NOS bottle that's not there. I think the point was to make the oil tank look like something it isn't. It makes you take a second look at what has been done. Seems to me, in this case, it was well done. It took me a bit to figure out what it was, but I was quite sure from the start that it wasn't a NOS system. It's as bad as making an airbox look like a fuel tank! |

It is just obviously not a high pressure vessel. nitrous/Co2 tanks are taper spun from aluminum. Rounded ends, tapered neck. Flat end vessels fail at those pressures. You can see the welds. If it wasn't hand fabbed, my guess would be an old accumulator. |

Not only that, but the lack of solenoids and an extra fuel feed. |

While I am not a fan of choppers in general, I actually like this one. While I wasn't fooled by the "nitrous", I was actually wondering what was up with the "second" oil tank... It's sort of Mad Max-ish. |

Certainly appears to be fake NOS system that would fool 90%+ of the general public. Also appears to be the goal of the fabricator. If he wasn't trying to make it appear as such, he wouldn't have added the fake valve and hose. For those with a keen eye and experience with such a configuration, congratulations, you figured it out. i am still trying to figure out why putting fake things on a bike to mis lead people seems so cool to people? EZ, thanks for the schematic. I have never had experience with NOS so that is interesting to digest. |
