Wolfpen Gap Country Store (formerly known as "Dale's") is in a bit of a bind right now... Dang, that sucks. Must be REAL bad to have to put their hand out in public like that. Me 'n D did Buelltoberfast several years ago, and I remember Dale's as THE happening place in Suches (besides TWO), very biker-friendly. Great location for that business; I bet TWO being closed for a while really killed 'em. Money's tight, but we'll toss what we can into their pot and hope it helps them stay afloat. Hey "y'all"  Posted in roll call, I'm in! I figure I need to give my southern brother from another mother a big kick in the butt to get better!  Oh, and I get to hang out with "all y'all", it's been too long! Basic plan is I have 2 to 2.5 weeks off work, I'll be bringing a guitar and hope to play some tunes, maybe get a little riding in somehow, and just enjoy hanging out with my Buell tribe  I'd also like to spend some time in LA hanging out with Asbjorn and the So-Cal Buellers, I haven't quite worked out the order of travels plans yet, but I'm open to suggestions. I've gone soft living in Queensland... What sort of temperature would you expect? | ||

Glad to hear you will be coming to the blessed event! Is the wife coming with ya? It has been my experience(in a tent) that the temperatures hit the mid 30F to 40F at night and around 65F to 75F for day time highs.....but we are going a week earlier so I can't know for sure. There is always a 50% chance of rain this early in the year. Maybe Glitch can post up that local area thermometer that he did for several events. It got to be a part of the count down. It's going to be super cool, I'm really looking forward to the trip. Temps and rain are kind of what I expected. I just spent a few days riding mountain bikes down at Thredbo and temps were similar, much nicer than the humidity here Ahhh, I guess it never really got said on here anywhere... My lovely wife is now my lovely ex-wife, Vamps and I separated a year ago. We're still great friends, we catch up quite often, but heading different directions in life. PM me if you'd like to know more. | ||

I think they're closed for the season. This was posted to their FB page on 31 December:
They haven't posted anything since. I believe they usually show MotoGP races in their dining room / lounge area when they're open. | ||

Mary and Skip are doing projects at TWoS and are not there all the time.They are closed for the season but Mary has a cell tied to the number on the web site.As they are working with loud power tools she can't always hear the phone.Also when she is at home she can't book rooms.Your best bet is to try her during business hours and as Pnwzor found out,she will call you back | ||

Jenn on the other hand will not be so happy...! the only march one i've mad it rained the WHOLE damn time! | ||

The first year I went (MBIII), the weather was great. Cool to cold, but beautiful skies. Only bad thing was there was gravel in a lot of the curves on the twisty roads in the area. I think every MB after that wound up with some significant amount of rain, which is why Buelltoberfest got a lot more popular. | ||

Ok... So I have a plan... kinda... Need to get dates confirmed with work and approved but should be ok... Arrive Atlanta evening of Tuesday 17th March, with a few days to get settled before Glitch Badness weekend. Ulywife has a spot for me at C3 Central. Possibly heading to Nashville Sunday/Monday with No_rice for a bit of sight seeing, and I might travel around a little (Memphis maybe?) after that. After that my plan is to head to Los Angeles around Saturday 28th and stay with Asbjorn until Easter and catch up with the SoCal Buell folks It feels kinda odd to ask, but if you don't ask the answer is always "no"... I'd like to ride with you folks on the weekend if possible, but to do that safely I'd need at least a day riding before the weekend to get used to driving on the wrong side of the road again. Is there any chance that someone would be able to help me out with some wheels to ride before and/or on the weekend? | ||
