Since winter is here above the 45th Parallel in Northern Michigan, it's a good time to plan a road trip to New York or New England states for this coming 2015 annual Fathers day ride. This is a call out to all you New England , New York riders share your favorite twisty rides. I put a shout out in the 1125 board and it was suggested I would get a better response here. Thanks in advance! |

Ride Vermont Route 100 from the Massachusetts border to Stowe, VT. Then take Route 108 over Smuggler's Notch. It's a fun ride. |

Put a time frame on this thing, or a route/loop that your planning. New England/New York is a big area. |

Rt 100 VT is pretty wasted these days, it has been beat up by storms the last few years. Most of the associated east-west gaps, passes and notches have been destroyed as well. The good news is some of rt 100 is brand new (not the fun parts), and smuggs is still in good shape. If you were riding a month earlier you could hit up the ADK rally in Lake George. For my money the ADK roads between Lake George, Lake Placid, and say Potsdam are hard to beat. |

Running home up i87 yesterday saw some hardy (deranged) soul on an orange sidecar rig, probably Ural, heading southbound. Temp was around -2.5°C & I had the heating wound up in the Pete. |
