The wife was not happy about it...I guess "last one" wears off after a few times.
A coworker gave me this vintage Ben Pearson hunting bow. From the top of their premium Sovereign line of 1965 it is the Golden Conquerer. Cheesy name, but beautiful bow. 20141215_131200 by Slick_Rick77, on Flickr
Good to see everyone in good spirits.
I'm with the in-laws which is always a challenge. Maintaining civility tests my patience to the max.
The FIL apparently wants me to feel bad about my choices in life. In any case, I'd rather be a poor bastard than a rich prick.
My kid got everything he wanted for his birthday a few weeks ago and for Christmas. Spoiled rotten. If he's happy it's okay.
Bluzm2, I'm using the billet80.com jig(currently,$72.00) I got a couple of years ago..... along with the billet80.com lower. It fits just fine the forged Sub.Moa lower I got on Gunbrokers for $49.95. The jig is 3 parts and the top guide plate is simply unscrewed and turned 180° to guide all the cuts with just the one guide plate. The forged lower came with the rear pocket already machined out. Both of the lowers are really nice and way tighter than my Colt H-bar.
Coolest (material object) I got this Crimbus was one of those SPOT locator things. I hope it's a hint that management will let me out of the house next year some time.
Ratbuell, I read 'cane' as 'cone' in my sleep deprived state. I was imagining you in a cone, like a dog that just got spayed. Now, the cane is far less funny...
I'm insanely hard to buy for. If I want something I just go get it myself. When people ask what to get me the answer it I don't know or nothing. Gift cards were made for people like me.
At some point my GF heard me mention I'd like to get one of those old school safety razors after hearing that they shave as good or better than the new junk out there. She got it for me. Ran to CVS and spent 6 bucks on a 10 pack of blades and gave it a whirl. It's awesome. Shaves as close as the new crap and is actually better when it comes to shaving around a beard.
Just acquired; from the Colt custom shop; a new Colt 1911 kebab extractor. Very useful when you want to disable & dispose of several delicacies at one time with single or multiple extraction capabilities. Interchangeable grips. One of a kind for sure. Don't laugh, it works flawlessly every time.
