Reminds me of the original engine in my 72 Nova. Pulled a head off and the third piston back was 90 degrees to the others. Pulled the other head off... Same thing. Kind of confirmed my suspicions as to why antifreeze was leaking out of the side of the oil pan.

It did give me the excuse I needed to build up a really strong 327. Over the next year or so, I found that every single component of the drive train wasn't up to the task of putting the power to the road. What a fun money pit that was!

I did EXACTLY that in my '71 Camaro over eight years! Nasty little 327, then a Turbo 400 with shift kit etc, then a Ford 9" floater rear end, traction bars, slicks, headers side pipes and on and on.

Picture reminds me of something I said once to a racing buddy....."Hey Rod.....how ya doin'?".

It took me an embarrassing amount of time to see the problem in that picture : )

Took me a minute to "get it" and it was a BENT PUSHROD that kept me from racing the XB last month!

I have been working on a tub buggy, It has been a labor of love, I found it in the weeds with a trees growing up through it. I'm thinking $400 I could really get out cheap on this...LOL Joke's on me...untold thousands of dollars later I find the darn thing won't make it up "Test Hill" at the sand dunes...Today I have the good fortune of finding a gently used 1840 dual carb...about double the horsepower of the stock 1600 that I have in it now...the only problem is I KNOW what is going to happen to the transmission and clutch...LOL but I know I will be able to make it to the top...
