Von Braun claimed we had help from the et folks Read the Day after Roswell by Phil Corso Many claim Germany's Roswell was in the early thirties and Russians in 55 |

If I understood Boyd correctly, he "bumped into" his UFO contact 13 years ago which would be approximately 2001. Yet, the pictures he showed were of such poor quality they look as though they were taken with a Polaroid from the 60's. |

Seems the alien in question can be purchased at Walmart... http://www.snopes.com/photos/odd/bushman.asp Or is that just the cover up? |

You'd think as advanced as the aliens are they could hold the damn camera steady or keep it in focus

The original video link has been removed. i've had my fair share of interest in ET's, and done my own research... no one has ever provided plausible evidence which was not reasonably discredited... We're dealing with a government who can't hide the smuggling of guns into mexico, or a secret letter to Iran, or an illegal IRS campaign, or voter fraud, or NSA spying... How in the hell could they effectively control the thousands of first-hand witnesses which would have to exist, should the claims of ET/Govt interaction be true? (that's the same reason I will never believe the moon-landing-hoax videos) I've wanted aliens to be real as much as any average joe... but I've yet to find any evidence, anywhere. There's probably a reason that most "evidence" looks like it's from a 1950's scifi movie shot on 8mm. Why hasn't someone had an experience while they had their 1080p Gopro or Contour rolling? Why would aliens only visit government officials in secret "government only" locations? If the existence of, and gov't interaction with, aliens was true, and was some ultra-tippy-top-secret project, I don't believe that a simple TS clearance would cut the mustard. While the background check isn't cheap, they hand those out to anyone who's got a relatively clean criminal and debt record. From what I've seen, Bushman never claimed to have first-hand experience with ET's. He claims to get his information second-hand. Lastly, a TS clearance only lasts 5 years. Why would he have a TS clearance at the age of 78. When was he last employed by any Gov't contracted agency? On the other hand, I do believe in Aliens. I met a few through a mutual friend in SW Texas. True story. |

I say we should go with it. From now on we who on occasion speak foolishly to our beloved have a plausible excuse, "the telepathic aliens made me say it!" |

I'm agnostic on Aliens. I certainly believe that alien life can and does exist. I've spoken at length why the SETI people have not had us all watching Alien I Love Lucy. And while I haven't gone to the Moon, I have flown aircraft based on Gemini program era re-entry machines and used to get NASA tech reports on the latest stuff.... and flew hobby shop level rockets with improvements gleaned from the Real Space Program. But Alien conspiracy? The only explanation I've been able to come up with for the classic Alien Picks Up Redneck on back road and Probes him..... is Frat boys who borrowed Dad's Saucer to mess with the natives on the Primitive Reservation. In Human terms.....Cow Tippers. |

If the Roswell ETs were supposedly so technically advanced and all knowing, telepathic beings why did they crash land on earth? Is it because they were green (sorry, bad pun) test pilots or telepathically texting with humans at the time? So many questions, so little time to get the right answers ... |

Ever visit a drive thru zoo? We have one here called Lion Country Safari. The ET s are like that tripping in the zoo. Once in while the saucer breaks down and they have to call Triple S Saucer retrieval Visiting Yellowstone Yosemite Checking out the National Parks I get coming to see humans just plain crazy and not worth the effort! |

Patrick, Betting on abiogenesis or multiple Genesis events? You flew aircraft based on a capsule (Gemini re-entry machine)? |

Multiple Genesis events..... or panspermia...... how to tell the difference? The Rogallo Wing was tested as a Gemini landing method for dirt landing. ( instead of Ocean ) The actual reentry was taken on the heat shield. Although a low wing loading inflatable version was proposed for reentry as well. |

OK, you're over my head with panspermia, abiogenesis, and multiple genesis. I googled those terms, and came up with some off-the-wall evolutionary theories. If we want to get into evolution.... this thread will move in a different direction. I'm OK with that if you are. Ken... I've heard it said that flying cars will become a reality when self-flying cars become a reality. IF there was some vehicle capable of executing all these ridiculous maneuvers supposedly observed by "millions" of people.... I doubt the tech would just break down in some redneck's back 40... on dozens of occasions... and never in some crowded city... |

Ah, recovery/landing, not "re-entry." I understand. Hang-gliders! Neat idea. |

Dementia brought about by aging is a hell of a thing. Scientology came about the same way. I put as much stock in this death bed revelation as I do Hubbard's. |

Hubbard wrote his religion on a bet. He had no death bed revelation that I know of. ( I am not a big fan so others know more ) I was under the impression he "had an accident" ( aka suffered the fate of Foster from "Stranger In A Strange Land" ) I'm sticking with cow tipping as a theory. |

I'm leaning towards Niven. And why is Hubbard's "theories" taken more seriously than the idea we're a lost Pak colony? At least Niven explains the human aging process convincingly... |

Jaimec is referring to Larry Niven's novels that have Humans as a lost colony. "Protector" was the first novel to "describe" this idea. He's written a semi-coherent future history ( in the tradition of R. Heinlein ) and other unrelated works. Good stuff, highly recommended, and although SF, at least as believable as aliens at Roswell. Analog Magazine years ago had a short story about Roswell. The USAF had lost an experimental craft, crewed by chimps, but..... the chimp spacesuits didn't fit over the fur, so they had to shave them, then grease them to get them in. The whole thing was so embarrassing that the "Alien" business is actually a cover up for the real, but harmless story. |
