That's exactly why I got rid of DirecTv and don't watch local news. 50% of broadcast news is 90% bullcrap (to paraphrase Yogi Berra). Local and national radio broadcasts are pretty straight forward and I don't have to suffer through yet another feature story of a squirrel on waterskis. Radio tells me about a robbery without the TV visual of handgun in the background (even though the store was held up at knifepoint). Haven't picked up a newspaper in years, either. The Time/Newsweek magazines in my doctor's office are years out of date. Thank God I get good information here. |
