Well that is a wrap fella's. I have decided to once and for all give up the street well at least for the next few years anyway. My son has been smitten by an Atric Cat XC450 and I need to sell some stuff to get it. I have not really ridden my street bike all summer. I thought on this for a few weeks and decided the time I have been spending with my sons in the trails is well worth not street riding, as we all know time can't be given back once it's used and this bonding time is priceless. I have enjoyed running the many events we have had and others have done. I will miss the time on the street but not nearly as much as I'd miss the opportunity to spend time with my children if I waste that chance. Yours truly Dave |

Sounds like an OK decision, but one that has given you some pause... I have no children, but completely understand the importance of what you're doing. The day will come when you're back on the road with the rest of us! |

Sounds like an opportunity to post up about your adventures. My son and I went riding together today, crash-free for the first time! |

You will be missed Dave. Very few dads make such a choice and more should make the commitment to their kids. I raise a beer in your honor (ok, maybe two or three) |

That's what my Dad with with my brother and I. Once we started riding street bikes he got back on the street too. We did a couple of rally's together including Sturgis. Any time you spend with the kids is the best, especially for them! My Dad's gone now but not those memories. A good choice! |

Best to you Dave. Children grow and we slow, so time and timing are paramount right now.

Wish I could of gotten one more ride in with you Dave but the bike's still in pieces. Got the cases bolted together this morning, though. Been watching your vid's, I think you have a great thing going there. Keep us posted. |

I hate ATV's, those things are DANGEROUS!! Have fun with the kiddos! They will join you later on the street. It's a natural progression!! Actually, those words were uttered by an old German wine maker when talking about dry red wine to some sweet wine lovers. Soon you will love dry wines, it's a natural progression! Works for motorcycles too! Nothing like dirt riding to make you a better street rider, you just need to loose a couple of wheels! |

Thinking of you this weekend Dave. Took a little honey for her first ride, first trip thru ADK, and up Whiteface. Hit Tracey road on the way home, a of fun even two up. You should make the trip next spring sans bike. Whats the status of the CR, I've always had a little water heater lust. |

Just got word from my mom. At 81 years old, she has just gotten her first ATV. Looks like hiking the ridges on the back 140 is starting to get too rough for her. This should help her run her dogs without wearing her down. |

MUCH better than my mom's idea to get a moped (!!!), to ride around the campsites and stuff. This, when I'd seen her not make a turn on a BICYCLE, just going straight. Fun stuff! Keep us posted on the shenanigans! |
