Rocket, glad to hear you think they are brilliant! It allows me to ask a question that I have been wanting to ask of someone who likes this concept. Which symbol on that sticker do you think represents the biggest problems the world faces today?

BTW, here's my beef with the coexist stickers. Many have a website that are being advertised such as this...
OK, no problem so far. But when you actually go to peacemonger.org you will find many items like this...
Please note that this is just a sampling of their inventory. This isn't exactly what they imply the "coexist" message is all about. In fact, these are all examples of what liberals have forced into legal lexicon - hate speech. This hate all seems to be aimed in a single direction too. Very interesting. Coexist my ass! |

Sifo- Yea, I get kind of torqued about the mockery of the "fish" symbol. People that do it have no clue what they're mocking. The original fish symbol was devised by early Roman Christians as a secret recognition sign. If a Christian met someone he thought was a Christian, he would casually draw an arc in the sand making half of the fish. If the other guy was also Christian, he knew to draw the second half. This was necessary to keep from being crucified, covered in tar, and burned alive, and similar punishments devised for "subversive" Christians under the reign of Nero. I don't get the implication that science or Darwin is somehow in direct conflict with Christianity either. You're right, "Coexist" my ass. |

Once again, Christians are being massacred and no one cares. Everyone just whines about Gaza, Gaza, Gaza. I think I have reached the end of my rope with this so called "peaceful religion". |

I love Israel. It is the only nation in that part of the world that has democracy, respects its citizens, respects women's rights, respects minorities, and respects gays. It has built a modern economy out of nothing. I love Israel. Fire away. |

Rocket, YOU brought up the subject of murderous Israel. YOU just disparaged Judaism three posts north of this one. That will not stand, buddy. I get it that you love Putin. I get it that you despise Israel. I get it that you disparage the United States. I get it. Fire away. (Message edited by reindog on August 08, 2014) |

Cataract2, thanks for helping to make my point. The FSM's noodly appendage is nothing but an attempt to poke fun at Christianity. This is classic bully behavior, amongst adults, also known as hate speech. |

So if not poking fun at Christianity, perhaps you would like to offer some other plausible explanation? Didn't think so. |

I think Cataract is poking fun at religion in general although he would have to confirm that himself. |

It's always fun to watch the hypocrisy of this place come out. Sensitive? You don't know me. Hypocrisy? You've provided a great example of it. Failure to show any possible explanation for the FSM other than hate? Kind of lame after your first response. The really sad thing is that you are simply hating on others simply because their religious beliefs differ from your own. Pretty pathetic. |

So Tom, how is using the FSM any different than the early Christians use of the Ichthys (the fish in case you didn't know) symbol? You really are showing all the signs of getting really butt hurt. Getting a bit mad? Upset? Ready to pick up that sword and defend you faith? Crusade time maybe? (Message edited by cataract2 on August 08, 2014) |

So Tom, how is using the FSM any different than the early Christians use of the Ichthys (the fish in case you didn't know) symbol? They are completely different. Perhaps you can explain in what way they are the least bit the same. I doubt it though. You can't seem to have any rational dialog. More like a feces flinging monkey. |

BTW, the FSM is nothing more than a symbol, just like the Ichthys was for the early Christians. Each means something different for each person. Keep on getting butt hurt. You are giving me quite a good time. |

It's the meaning of the symbol that matters. One was used to identify fellow Christians who were being persecuted. The other is currently being used to persecute Christians. Perhaps the distinction is a bit to blurry for you to see. Keep showing the hate! |

In my experience, atheists are clearly really pissed off with God about something and express it by denying their belief in Him. |

Interesting to see who's message is actually pushing a particular religious belief too. Even if that belief is disbelief. |
