No disrespect towards Sifo intended, but it isn't hard to predict what Obama's reaction to world events is going to be, given that 100% of the time he jets off to a fundraiser.
Further reports (even from RT) saying that Putin's plane has been nowhere near there for a long time (not a surprise, unlike our president, he is a good tactician).
The Russian denials are coming in a bit loud and fast at this point...
I honestly don't expect much to be done from our end. Getting too tough on this won't help us and can do little but widen the gap between various parties. I almost expect this from BO. Perhaps drawing some sort of red line daring them to cross it. I've been busy all afternoon and have no clue what if any response we have given at this point.
Word on the news is that phone calls intercepted between Russian intelligence and the Russian separatists indicate that the separatists admitted to shooting down the plane because they thought it was military.
My point being, we've seen video of a ground-based explosion in the distance, and another video of wreckage and bodies on the ground.
Nothing at all I've seen connects those two videos to each other, and the explosion shows no evidence of having originated in the air.
This whole thing smells. The part of my brain that entertains conspiracies tells me that the actual airliner is now sitting alongside the first one that went missing, and the wreckage we see was placed there to simulate a crash. The perpetrators are, of course, building a fleet of flying bombs.
The other 99% of my brain tells me that none of us has any clue what's going on, other than something is going on.
Putting aside the question of who shot down the plane, what the hell was the airline thinking flying a passenger jet into a war zone where for the past week people had been shooting down planes? Where were their heads?
