Glitch and I are both home safe! You just cant beat Bueller company, it was great seeing everyone sat. WOW, What a great area to ride in!! HUGE THANKS to RPM and Randy for letting me domo the 1190SX!! I knew better than to ride that thing and now I WANT bad. The motor was absolutely fantastic! Suspension was stiff for me but very tractable. Having the pegs in same position as the RX make it feel a little weird, I did not make much of it till No_Rice pointed it out. Overall, It is the bike I wish Erik made 10 years ago, and my wish came true! |

Big props to Huge! Awesome time indeed, awesome roads, and awesome friends! What a weekend! Quite the adventure. It was great going back home. I loved being able to point over there, and answer the obligatory "where ya from" question with "over there"
I loved waking up with this for a view
More pics later, I'm beat |

I second that a HUGE thanks to RPM Randy for the EBR bikes to ride and Hugh for putting this all together. I got to test ride the 1190 RX and SX in the twisties that was the best part. They make my 1125R feel like a tank. I want one I will have to work on the old lady. |

I agree Dennis. After riding the SX my CR felt like I was trying to steer a train. I just can't get over how light the bike felt and how effortless the steering was, I wish I could ride my CR like I can the SX. I just can't describe how much confidence I had with the front end feel of this bike!!! I should have never ridden the damn thing... I'd like to thank Randy @ RPM in Greenville SC for bringing the demo's to Little Switzerland and Hugh for all the effort he put into arranging this. |

We're on the way home now- I'll post up more photos and info tonight. I'm not sure how many of us it applies to (me and Sifo for sure), but we shall forever more be known as "OABR's" after my wife heard an obnoxious Harley chick grumbling about those "old-ass Buells riders" this morning while we were loading out. OABR forum now! |

Hugh, What a great event and turn out this year. A new high with all those that made it out and EBR represented. It was great to see everybody this year. I was just shocked how comfortable the SX was. I had to walk away before I got into trouble. The anticipation of what the AX will be, has just climbed significantly. |

Hey Hugh, Thanks for putting this weekend together. The company was great and the riding was better. Good to Put faces to the names and I can safely say we will see next year. John OABR |

Mary and I made it to Robbinsville this afternoon. Took the long way through Franklin. Great day for a great ride. We both had a fantastic time. Lots of new friends to catch up with another time. Finally met Glitch in person and thanked him for letting this flat lander in on some great routes in the area some years ago now. It's no understatement to say that he changed our lives by doing that. Hugh, great job putting it all together. Thanks to all who showed up and made it a great event. Squids, nice triple you've got there. Had fun chatting late into the evening. I'm sure you've got your skills dialed in on that machine by now. Sunday night stormed like crazy in the valley and to the east. Crazy watching the lighting show. The BRP was filled with debris from the storm this AM. Hope none of us were caught out in that. |

OABR indeed! Makes me wonder if perhaps we may have been riding too slow for her taste in one of our Buell processions. Now that is funny right there! |

If you missed it and regretted it or if you made it and liked it, go ahead and mark it on next year's calendar: BITA 5, July 24-26, 2015 |

I guess I'm still recovering from a week of riding and the long drive back yesterday. Still need to download pics off Marianne's phone and my camera and post up. This was definitely the best and biggest "Buells in the Alps" by far. I figure we had at least 40 Buells on-site at one time or another on Saturday. We had attendees from Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Tennessee, and those are just the ones I know about. The Randy from Real Performance Motorsports of Greenville, SC and the EBR test rides were a big hit- I didn't see one person get off one for those bikes that wasn't grinning ear-to-ear. I don't know if Randy made any immediate sales this weekend, but I know several people are seriously trying to figure out how to work an EBR purchase into their budget right now. Mike and the Skyline Village Inn were very accommodating, and kicking back on that third story deck in the evening after a great day of riding, a great meal and a couple of drinks and looking out over the mountains of North Carolina in the evening is an experience nobody should miss. Thanks to everyone that came, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. If you liked it, go ahead and plan on next year's event (see dates above). Oh yea, if you want an event T-shirt and didn't get one, please let me know color (black on gray or white on black) and size. Cost depends on quantity, but the final cost for these worked out to about $12 each. When I have an idea of how many to order, I can work out details. I'll get those pics up eventually, I promise! If you're on Facebook, check the Badweather Bikers of Facebook for photos from Mike at the Skyline and from RPM. |
