I rode 226a last week and the new pavement is incredible. I was on the 650 with TKC80s in a downpour and I never felt a wiggle from either tire. Also NC 215 (both sides of the parkway) is in great shape. I just rode it yesterday. Probably the best road in the area with hardly any traffic or assholes with lights and sirens. Make sure to see Kenny and Donna on NC80. |

" I just rode it yesterday. Probably the best road in the area with hardly any traffic or assholes with lights and sirens." what makes them "assholes"? Doing their job and pulling over morons going way over the speed limit? |

EEEaaaaaassy there folks... Of course any one of youn's could call me out as an A-grade - I prefer to call you all friends! And dammit, good riding buddies!!! Looking forward to seeing you all- now, it's up to me and Vern to determine what bike I'll show up on. One's pretty much ready to go, the other... we'll see. |

Looks like I am out... Still can't find a decent rear shock for the S1W (current one is toast). Had a guy that said he could rebuild one, but he wasn't able to do it. And my "" buddies with lights and sirens probably wouldn't take to kindly to me riding the race bike... lol You guys have fun! (Message edited by Paint shaker on July 05, 2014) |

Hugh- One bike is a '77 BMW R75/7, pretty much ready to go, might need an oil change. The other is a 2002 Triumph Sprint ST, just got it tuned up and set up with fresh rubber and stuff- but it's rolling with cracked up plastics. I'll be taking it to Vern's Monday to get a prognosis and repair estimate. I COULD ride it, mechanically it's fine, BUT- it ain't much to look at. Given that it's got brand new Bridgestone Battlax ST tires, I guess I should take it. But, the Beemer's cool, and I'm more comfortable on it. Dunno yet. Hoping to get the ST repaired and roll on it! |

That's true! Now I gotta figure out how the dinky little nylon saddlebags mount up... With a little luck, and a lot of expertise (cue Vern), I'm planning on changing the whole thing up from a bright red to a proper British racing green! Seriously- how many crotch rockets out there are some kind of red?!?! But- if it's not done by then, all the mechanicals are correct, PLUS it has far better tires than the Beemer. |

Brad, Pwnzor's looking for a roomie: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=37&post=2423583#POST2423583 Maybe you can invest in some Breathe-rite strips for the night or something. |

Pwnzor, Al has them, but they are pricey... Hard to spend that kinda $$ on a street bike I hardly ride, especially considering my XB race bike really needs a better shock. But, I may be coming across some extra $$ in the future and take care of both! |

21 for a shirt? holy crap, thats high! It's not cheap, but I thought it was reasonable for a small run of custom-made shirts. Plus, they had an image of a Buell XB(something)R in their clipart selection, which kind of sold the deal. |

I'll be in room 307 with our son Tyler and his new Ninja 300. Sorry Squids, you'll have to see if someone else has a bed. I think they still have rooms available. |
