How hard to add that on if you really feel the need? In fact when I was looking at the RX in the showroom, I was thinking that it would probably be pretty easy to add to a Buell that had the ZTL2 brakes. There may be some detail that makes it hard though.
If EBR's design differences mean a significantly lower price, then I'm all for it. Seriously, if you're not Marc Marquez or Josh Hayes, who needs all that crap on a street bike anyway??
Looks gorgeous to me, particularly from a side view. She has a big nose, but so does every other streetfighter I have seen other than my XB9SX had. It ruined me.
Far better looking than the KTM, etc. The MV has a pretty tank / frame / seat center area, but I hate the transition from rear subframe to rear wheel. It looks like it's trying too hard to be cool. I also always feel uncomfortable with bikes that just dangle that engine case out to every curb and pothole that wants to reach up and take a bite out of it. MV isn't kidding anyone with that skidplate.
Fine looking bike EBR, nice job. Can't wait to see specs.
Well I like the SX. I think it looks great. Cannot wait to see an AX. Cannot wait to test ride one of these things. I bet it would really haul ass on the go-cart track at Road America!
My opinion may be biased.....I have always liked the looks(and function of course) of my Uly and my former City-X.
If you don't like something on the bike change it. Headlights seats and bling around the radiator is something for a real entrepreneur to create and make a mint selling to like minded individuals.
I always prefer to keep my comments and opinion on any new motorcycle until I've actually seen one in person. When the 2006 XB12X Ulysses first came out, I thought it was ugly, the I saw one in person and thought not bad looking, and when I test rode it, I bought it and to this day still think it's the best dam motorcycle I've ever owned or rode for that matter! Now wanting to see the new EBR 1190AX.
Problem is Don, I've yet to see an EBR of any description in the UK. I didn't make Donington for World Supers either. Erik didn't mail one of those 70 odd freebie tickets he spoke of to me
After all the negative comments you've made, I can't imagine why he wouldn't send you an engraved and personalized invitation. Really. Maybe even two of them.
I'm sure it loks a lot better in the flesh, but first impression is 'why has that taken a year to develop an RX with no fairing?'
It looks a bit dated compared to the KTM and MV, and just looks like a stripped RX really with a cheap headlight fairing fitted
I was expecting at least a different seat/tail unit and some 'avant garde' headlight styling so this is slightly disappointing
I'm pretty sure it will be months before we get to see one in the flesh over this side of the pond, and will have to see how it stacks up in terms of price against the KTM, BMW, MV, Aprilia etc so will reserve final judgement until then.
