Of course they have different meanings. In the US Nazi is ( except for a few dozen real losers ) an insult you throw at conservatives or anyone who disagrees with a Progressive agenda. In Russia Nazi brings back memories of total war, war crimes, invasion, and millions dead, raped and imprisoned. Yes, I know Russian media tells us there are Nazi's in Ukraine. In ww2 there were Soviet supporters and Nazi supporters, depending on small quirks of ideology, AND WHO YOU THOUGHT WAS GOING TO KILL LESS OF YOUR PEOPLE. Are there Nazi's in Ukraine today? Sure. No reason to not believe that. Are they in charge? I don't know. You say so, repeating what you are told. Wouldn't surprise me if Obama supported Nazis at all. He has zero reason in his ideology not to. Nazis are Socialists, right? Socialism good. Communism good. Authoritarianism good. European Colonial powers, bad. I don't say 1 at all, and more proof of what I do say has emerged. Which is Obama turning the screw. The aggression is blamed on Russia by Obama and Cameron, yet the facts are shown (in this topic) over and over again, the aggressor is Ukraine's installed government since the ousting of their elected president, which is now continuing under the newly and dubiously elected president who days ago told, military actions will continue. This includes daily constant shelling and air strikes into civilian areas of towns and cities. Water supplies are cut off. Electricity supplies are down for major parts of cities. Roadblocks prevent supplies, food medication included, from getting in. Outside of Ukraine, Cameron and Obama have issued Putin ultimatums he can't fulfil, as has Poroshenko, who tells Crimea is Ukrainian and will be so. All pointers to war, or heavy sanctions against Russia to destabilise Russia in ay way possible. The latest of these destabilising efforts. Witness - reaffirmation of contracts for French AirCraft / Helicopter Ships Consolidation with new tech incentives in Moscow and St Petersburg open tariff parks Firmer cooperation with China, India, and Brazil in efforts to shore trade, oil, manufacturing, and licensing agreements to trade in NON - US currency units Attendence to the Euro Zone Econ summit - though not allowed into the G-8* talks - still courted by France, Britain, and Sweden during the week for economic joint ventures Putins popularity (if we are only basing the value of a leader on polls) is shattering and escalating to new levels. What would turn this thing around ? The US pulling its head out of its ass Kiev to quit shelling civilians in the East Moscow to reaffirm their lease on Baltic Assets A coordinated EU/Ukraine/Moscow deal on gas - you know - like the one they had BEFORE the 'illegitimate' coup that ousted the former regime..... you know - the other illegitimate horde of crony thieves. All is still on target to be there before the 20th; so yes - I as well; probably a landing photo of me in Kiev or Odessa - maybe a shot of me in Poltava or Kharkov and then yes - dark WE were never there, it wasn't US. You think all battles are won with men and guns - you would be surprised how many are won by money and information; realms that we historically control when we hit the ground. |
