I have to admit, this administration seldom misses a trick. Anyone who is really interested in measuring the performance of whatever they are doing, from racing to business, to government policy should want to be able to accurately track results after making changes. BO instead chooses to change the measurements for use in propaganda. Pathetic! Major Changes to U.S. Census Will Make It Nearly Impossible to Track How Obamacare Is Doing |

watch carefully, This year the Open Enrollment was Oct 1... this coming year (an election year) Open enrollment doesnt start until Nov 15. Nearly Two weeks after the elections. They are hoping that by not having a full month of failures in this October, like last October - that you will forget that the Democrats brought you this stink bomb, and you will again vote for them. .... (and you believe voting matters - but that is another thread altogether) |

Three years ago, I lobbed a grenade with solutions, paths out, and common sense commercial approaches to that mess. ... It seems one of those desks that it landed on, has dusted it off, and is interested in a discussion Kill that bill - line by lie, brick by brick; gonna try and burn that f*cker down to the ground. Only weeks after leaving office, Barack Obama discovers a leak under his sink, so he calls Joe the Plumber to come out and fix it. Joe drives to Obama’s new house, which is located in a very exclusive gated community where all the residents make more than $250,000 per year. Joe arrives and takes his tools into the house. Joe is led to the guest bathroom that contains the leaky pipe under the sink. Joe assesses the problem and tells Obama that it’s an easy repair that will take less than 10 minutes. Obama asks Joe how much it will cost. Joe checks his rate chart and says, “$9,500.” “What?! $9,500?” Obama asks, stunned, “But you said it’s an easy repair! Joe says, “Yes, but what I do is charge those who make $250,000 per year a much higher amount so I can fix the plumbing of poorer people for free,” explains Joe. “This has always been my philosophy. As a matter of fact, I lobbied the Democrat Congress, who passed this philosophy into law. Now all plumbers must do business this way. It’s known as ‘Affordable Plumbing Act of 2014.’ I’m Surprised you haven’t heard of it.” In spite of that, Obama tells Joe there’s no way he’s paying that much for a small plumbing repair, so Joe leaves. Obama spends the next hour flipping through the phone book calling for another plumber, but he finds that all other plumbing businesses in the area have gone out of business. Not wanting to pay Joe’s price, Obama does nothing and the leak goes un-repaired for several more days. A week later the leak is so bad that Obama has had to put a bucket under the sink. Michelle is not happy as she has guests arriving the next morning. The bucket fills up quickly and has to be emptied every hour and there’s a risk that the room will flood, so Obama calls Joe and pleads with him to return. Joe goes back to Obama’s house, looks at the leaky pipe, checks his new rate chart and says, “Let’s see, this will now cost you $21,000.” Obama quickly fires back, “What! A few days ago you told me it would cost $9,500!” Joe explains, “Well, because of the ‘Affordable Plumbing Act,’a lot of wealthier people are learning how to maintain and take care of their own plumbing, so there are fewer payers into the plumbing exchanges. As a result, the price I have to charge wealthy people like you keeps rising. Not only that, but for some reason the demand for plumbing work by those who get it for free has skyrocketed! There’s a long waiting list of those who need repairs but the amount we get doesn’t cover our costs. This unfortunately has put a lot of my fellow plumbers out of business, they’re not being replaced, and nobody is going into the plumbing business because they know they can’t make any money at it. I’m hurting too, all thanks to greedy rich people like you who won’t pay their fair share.” Obama says, “Joe! This is really bad. If all the rich people learn how to fix and maintain their own plumbing and you can’t charge the poorer people, you’ll be broke! What will you do then?” Joe replies, “I may have to run for office!” |

The ‘Affordable Plumbing Act' restricts how much can be charged, to protect the little guy, so Joe will be fined and harassed by ATF, IRS, OSHA, and the FDA. |

It forgot to mention the part where Obama, after first refusing the high price of the repair, then had to pay a "plumbing responsibility tax" of 2% of his income for the privilege of not being able to afford to fix his plumbing. |

Or the part where Obama couldn't get the plumber out in the first place, because all the plumbers listed as in his plan on plumbcare.gov never actually signed up to be in the program. |

For those of you out there that still 'love' government control of Health Care .... Pay close attention to what is Happening with the dead patients in the VA system from Arizona... and in the meme of the most transparent Presidency ever... the pursuant cover-up. Enjoy PS Last year Tri-Care quit reimbursing patients for 'Emergency' Room visits for non life threatening ER care; they have also closed all 'walk-in' clinic facilities and practices. IE have an appointment (and maybe it takes months to get) or Be BLEEDING and Dying and carted in by an Ambulance to get care.... gee - don't ya wish someone would have told you this would happen..... cheer up - it comes to community and county hospitals next, and private hospitals in under two years. ENJOY Remember to 'thank' a democrat in the fall - because they are - after all ; exempt from all this mess they created for you. and any REPUBLICAN that voted yes on NDAA should get the same treatment. |

Those of you that still love and believe in 'government run healthcare' The head of the Budget Office has been appointed the new Head of CMS.... You know - the office that has not had a working budget 6 years running ..... can't really blame her though - as there hasn't been one that has been passed (or submitted) that she would have to work with . So the question is. When there is no 'budget' .... how do you measure 'success' in leadership of said budget ? I will hum the theme to Jeopardy until you get the right answer. |

Obamacare ‘Enrollments’ May Also Include Duplicates: Congressional Testimony May. 7, 2014 8:49pm Becket Adams The White House’s touted Obamacare sign-up number may be inflated due to the fact that many consumers were required during the rollout of the glitchy healthcare.gov website to sign up more than once for the same plan, creating so-called “duplicate enrollments,” according to a representative of the insurance industry. read the entire article: http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/05/07/obamaca re-enrollments-may-also-include-duplicates-congres sional-testimony/ |

It's VERY telling that we don't have verifiable numbers on real enrollments yet. It should be a pretty simple report to generate from any half-assed computer database. |

I would like to point out that if "insuring the uninsured" was actually the point of this...... it could have been paid for by less than the money they gave Michelle Obama's college buddy to fail to make a working website. Throw in the money they have already spent on advertising the ACA, and you'd have the money to give the 20-50 million illegal aliens a discount on health insurance. The OTHER Trillion Dollars spent? Did YOU bribe this Admin? no? Then you got screwed. My Union didn't bribe them enough. |

Aren't YOU ready to flush this turd down the toilet? $474M for 4 failed Obamacare exchanges Some contractors continue to insist that fixes are possible. By JENNIFER HABERKORN and KYLE CHENEY | 5/11/14 Nearly half a billion dollars in federal money has been spent developing four state Obamacare exchanges that are now in shambles — and the final price tag for salvaging them may go sharply higher. Each of the states — Massachusetts, Oregon, Nevada and Maryland — embraced Obamacare, and each underperformed. All have come under scathing criticism and now face months of uncertainty as they rush to rebuild their systems or transition to the federal exchange. The federal government is caught between writing still more exorbitant checks to give them a second chance at creating viable exchanges of their own or, for a lesser although not inexpensive sum, adding still more states to HealthCare.gov. The federal system is already serving 36 states, far more than originally anticipated. As for the contractors involved, which have borne most of the blame for the exchange debacles, a few continue to insist that fixes are possible. Others are braced for possible legal action or waiting to hear if now-tainted contracts will be terminated. The $474 million spent by these four states includes the cost that officials have publicly detailed to date. It climbs further if states like Minnesota and Hawaii, which have suffered similarly dysfunctional exchanges, are added. Their totals are just a fraction of the $4.698 billion that the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation calculates the federal government has approved for states since 2011 to help them determine whether to create their own exchanges and to assist in doing so. Still, the amount of money that now appears wasted is prompting calls for far greater accountability. Read more: http://www.politico.com/story/2014/05/obamacare-co st-failed-exchanges-106535.html |

"Nearly half a billion dollars in federal money has been spent developing four state Obamacare exchanges that are now in shambles — and the final price tag for salvaging them may go sharply higher." Blame the republicans for knocking down the single payer idea which would have been much cleaner instead of these stupid individual state exchanges that became the compromise. |

>>>instead of these stupid individual state exchanges Uh . . be mindful that:
- Republicans were barred from meetings to put this together.
- It was ENTIRELY the work of Democrats.
- There was not a SINGLE Republican vote
- Claims of transparency became lies as the bill was introduced and passed in a matter of hours (in the middle of the night)
- We were lectured that we had to "pass the bill to know what's in it" by the Dem in charge
Yeah . . you only missed a few details. But . . . what the heck . . . as soon as I get the PROMISED $2,500 a year savings . . .I'll be less grouchy. |
