The transcript you cut n pasted, I have heard it, seen it, read it several times. I saw Putin live on RT News delivering it. What's your point? It has NOTHING to do with Godberg's claim stating Putin admitted to Russian military present in Ukraine. Now you can twist it anyway you like so it appears Goldberg meant Crimea, which is what Putin was referring to in his live Q&A speech, and not east Ukraine, but fact is it read ^Ukraine" at a time when such a comment could hold weight in relation to most recent events which support the US telling the world Russia is responsible for actions in Ukraine against the agreement reached last week.
If you believe you are right, then why didn't Goldberg write this up after Putin said it a week earlier? Instead Goldberg chose to do it this weekend when the news came out of several in Ukraine being shot dead, said by pro western press and the White House to be the actions of pro Russian groups. Not what was reported in depth on RT News by the way. These events also coinciding with the White House releasing photographs of people gathered in crowds in Ukraine. Circling the faces of some in these photos, then showing photos of Russian soldiers seen in Georgia 2008. This the White House claiming is evidence of Russian military present in Ukraine.
Goldberg's comment seems increasingly topical given they were published more than a week after Putin's comment, which Goldberg took out of context.
So, getting back to your claim.
Nope, Comrade. Days after Goldbergs article I then found a whole pile of headlines that all say what the PBS headlines said.
Then show me them Patrick. I'm all eyes here. I've only seen the PBS headline which mimics that of Goldberg's.
Just because you are interested in truth, doesn't mean you are necessarily anti-"American" or pro-"Russian".
Corptocracy (Corporatocracy) has no use for America anymore, other than to use it for their gains while at the same time destroying it. They hedge both sides. They can't lose. You can.
"Democracy and freedom require an independent and aggressive media, an independent and aggressive judiciary, and an independent and aggressive Congress. The United States has none of the above."
"A government that relies on propaganda cannot be believed about anything. Americans misinformed by a prostitute media are in no position to protect the US Constitution and their liberty. Misinformed, they become tyranny’s allies and their own worst enemy."
Paul Craig Roberts
“In my four-plus decades in journalism, I have never seen a more thoroughly biased and misleading performance by the major U.S. news media. Even during the days of Ronald Reagan …there was more independence in major news outlets. There were media stampedes off the reality cliff during George H.W. Bush’s Persian Gulf War and George W. Bush’s Iraq War, both of which were marked by demonstrably false claims that were readily swallowed by the big U.S. news outlets.
But there is something utterly Orwellian in the current coverage of the Ukraine crisis, including accusing others of “propaganda” when their accounts…are much more honest and more accurate than what the U.S. press corps has been producing…. The casualness of this propaganda… is not just wretched journalism but it is reckless malfeasance jeopardizing the lives of many Ukrainians and the future of the planet.”
(“Ukraine, through the US looking glass”) Robert Parry
Sad really. Don't beat your friends over the head when they try to wake you from your slumber.
I notice that "Crimea" has replaced "Ukraine" in some, but not all of these accounts. Most seem to be based on the Aljazeera article which just tells you they are lazy, since I went to the bother of listening to Vladimir for 2 hours before I "googled" for a transcript.
Since you are going to insist that there's a magic difference between the ( now former ) Crimean part of Ukraine & Ukraine to call a writer a liar, there really is no sense in arguing the matter any further.
Not even going to point out that Russia denied the little green men were Russian troops at the time. You know, the ones in the Crimean Peninsula of Ukraine, and now a Russian protectorate?
So on with the show, and the US sending troops to look tough? to more than Poland.
Goldberg and the Ukrainian lie is current. There exists no other article which states Putin admits Russian military were and are in Ukraine. Just Goldberg's then.
If you can't see the significance of Goldberg's accusation, its timing, the agreement reached last week which Obama is determined to show Putin will break, and how this will give reason for the U.S NATO to bolster up their forces in the region, you're either being purposely obtusive or you're out of your depth in this part of this discussion.
No one has changed Ukraine to Crimea when reporting. It is not a magic difference. It is fact. Goldberg wrote a lie, and the links you think mean Ukraine when they say clearly Crimea, are all based on the words of Putin during his Q&A speech. They are not the creation of an Al Jazeera article or similar.
As for the green men. Putin admitted they were Russian military (after all it was obvious). They were there to oversee the referendum was not interfered with by hostiles coming in from pro west Ukraine. They were also under orders to be non confrontational and stand off, which is what they did. Putin also said he did not like them being referred to as 'green men'. You wouldn't know this because your brainwashed mind switched off to perhaps the most significant diplomatic speech of the century thus far! Well it will be if it avoids war.

Man do I wish I'd have written this and walked away from this whole topic afterwards. Could have saved myself an awful lot of time if I had.
There exists no other article which states Putin admits Russian military were and are in Ukraine. Just Goldberg's then.
Whole pile of them. Read them Tuesday. Hundreds of hits, just Searched for the offensive line. Almost all were regurgitations of the Aljazeera article on the Q&A with different headlines attached. A lot of video clips of Putin talking with no subtitles and some idiot reading a headline over him. The words "Ukraine" and "unmarked troops in Ukraine" were parroted often.
Almost none of the headlines said "Crimea" Tuesday.
Wednesday... Crimea wall to wall. Think Geedee is right on this?
I never thought "little green men unmarked soldiers in Ukraine" means anything other than the February Liberators.
Good one. Tells us that the US State Dept. are idiots. Have I asked Canada to Invade us lately? Please.
This one also says the "little green men" guys are in Eastern Ukraine, which MUST be a lie, since Vladimir said there weren't any in non-Crimea-Eastern-Ukraine.
February. Long time ago. Russia sent unmarked troops into a different country. They acted with restraint, professionalism, quickly, and according to the President of Russia, they didn't have time for lengthy planning and rehearsals. Did a great job.
When exactly did this become General knowledge?
I mean, specifically, that Putin told people the unmarked green guys were Russian troops?
Everyone who isn't a complete useful idiot knew they were Russian Troops at the time. I read that Russia denied, at the time, they were Russian Troops. I based my credibility rating for Russian News based on the obvious and utterly predictable lie. !!!
VLADIMIR PUTIN: I have already spoken about this publicly on several occasions, perhaps not loud enough.
I either missed this or it's a tactic often used by very dishonest folk. They never, ever, admit to lying to you, they just change the story and tell you, "I already said that". I openly and honestly wonder which this is.
I told you Goldberg's article was the only article which said Putin admitted to Russian military in Ukraine.
With the exception of the PBS headline you linked, all your other links say Crimea, which is correct. This is what Putin admitted to.
Are you now suggesting you saw loads of reports saying Ukraine which a day later these reports have been changed to Crimea? If you are you're mistaken. I too trawled the Internet etc and no one was reporting Putin admitted to having military in Ukraine. Except Goldberg that is.
Your above post rattles on about the 'green men' thing. I don't get your point? I have told you several times Putin admitted to who 'they' were in his Q&A's. I also told you of their conducted. The above link alludes to same. None of this is relevant to the events happening currently in east Ukraine currently. Goldberg's report though, leads the casual reader to believe otherwise, he stating Ukraine and not Crimea. Why? Because Crimea is old news, and since the agreement LAST WEEK, the U.S are wanting / needing Russia to default on their side of the deal. Leading the public (your public, the western public) to believe Russia has (using reports like Goldberg's) gains support for the actions of our governments. Hence the photos released this week.
Good one. Tells us that the US State Dept. are idiots.
I already did yesterday. You are following this topic right?
Rocket said Instead just yesterday we see the puppet White House front Jen Psaki showing photographs of supposed Russian troops in Ukraine, identified as they look like Russian soldiers photographed in Georgia 2008. Yet Psaki under fire during press questioning refuses to confirm the persons in the photos are who the White House claim they are - Russian soldiers then. She goes as far as to say they APPEAR to look similar to Russian soldiers photographed in 2008. She says the White House sees them as evidence. She further refuses to confirm the White House could have other intel which confirms these pictures are of Russian soldiers. You would think such intel would be not so sensitive to release if they had it given the circumstances.
You see Patrick, since the agreement it is vital the U.S prove Russia will break it, otherwise the U.S will have to look for another opportunity to excuse their next move.
Moving 600 U.S NATO troops into Poland and the three ex Russian Baltic states is in direct action to what the U.S sighted as "taking seriously our obligations under Article 5 of the NATO alliance even though these aren't NATO exercises.” The excuse for this being in John Kirby's words “Since Russia's aggression in Ukraine, we have been constantly looking at ways to reassure allies and partners,” he said. “These exercises were conceived and added onto the exercise regimen as a result of what's going on in Ukraine.”
Thus, when you look at the headline from your second link, take into account the date and timing of such
The US State Department acknowledged Monday that images, supplied by Ukrainian diplomats, of unidentified armed men in eastern Ukraine are linked to Russian special forces that have operated in Crimea this year and Georgia in 2008.
it's pretty obvious even to a blind man (remember Jen Psaki saying we had to make our own minds up) the White House is fabricating stuff to show Putin is breaking the agreement of last week.
Maybe the U.S State Dept are not idiots after all. Only because a brainwashed nation of patriots with nothing but news full of propaganda and lies will believe them.
Now just going back to those little green folk of Putin's. It became general knowledge during his Q&A speech a week or so ago. But Putin is right. He has never denied the presence of Russian military in Crimea (where the green men were seen) so your point is pretty f**king irrelevant as it does not in any way prove Russia has military operating in east Ukraine (whether they do or don't) and Putin has constantly denied this. On the other hand, the U'S are in Ukraine. They're installing their own puppet government as PROVEN by Victoria Nuland's phone call and the puppets in it assuming the roles she suggested after Yanukovych was ousted.
Now that he has Crimea,... he needs to make speech, stating he will pull his troops out of the area,... away from border... (other than Crimea) and he must respect Ukraine as a separate country. He must condemn the Russian extremists. There many extremists taking over Ukraine buildings and towns... and Putin is backing them. (by not condemning it, he is giving his blessing) He can stop this easily but he is not. Where are the Russians that are having their rights violated????? Looks like a bunch of thugs/military and citizens taking over the Ukraine public buildings and mobbing/stopping Ukraine troop movements. Russians are biting off more than they can chew. No matter what Putin does,... Ukraine will always be.
Wow, maybe Mexicans will get the same idea... after all, we are not treating the illegal aliens proper according to some. From path to citizenship, healthcare, border control to American flags on 5th of May.
The author accuses Putin of Imperialist ambition. Mocks the ineffective and useless Obama administration, and seems to want to arm our allies in the Ukraine to nip this debacle in the bud before it spreads. I'm quite skeptical that's a good idea no matter what the other facts are.
he ends.
This is a very difficult situation, and we are now in two enormous dangers. First, of the Obama administration doing too little, in which case the world will become less safe as we show weakness to our allies and the Russians seek to reconstitute the Soviet empire. And second, of doing things too clumsily, in which case, as one-hundred years ago, a bad combination of miscalculations, delusions, laws and alliances could land us in a war no one intends.
That last sentence.... I'm in agreement on and fear of the consequences of that clumsiness.
Xdigitalx, you are quite right, Mexico has every cause to invade the US and take our wealth ( what's left of it ) as reparations for exploiting the masses of the Americas. ( sarcasm )
I was under the impression that was in fact ongoing, but it's certainly possible that the Mexican Government may annex some border territory to protect the Spanish speaking people who may have settled in the region from before the US claimed it or even before the last election. I admit it may be hard to tell one group of heavily armed hostile troops from another. So be careful that the commandos crossing your path may be Drug gangs, militia, BLM, IRS, NOAA, NASA, or Dept. of Labor Statistics.
There many extremists taking over Ukraine buildings and towns... and Putin is backing them. (by not condemning it, he is giving his blessing) He can stop this easily but he is not.
You think so?
Tell me. When did you last see any pictures of Putin or Russian senators cozying up to Nazi's?
And the fella on the left? That's Yat's. Or at least that's what Victoria Nuland called him when she unwittingly told the world America wanted him in the top job. And oh how he is. Nah you're right. These are just coincidences.
Of course it's not a f**king coincidence. Wake up and smell the shit you're being fed.
Nuland and co with the other fella who she called Klitch. Yep, he's doing exactly what she unwittingly told the world he would be doing in Ukraine also.
All smiles and people die. Yep I guess it's Putin at fault, and only he who can stop it - by kicking America out of Ukraine, hopefully crushing the Nazi's whilst he's at it.
Better a stable Russian Ukraine than a volatile Nazi coalition backed by the US.
Victoria Jane Nuland (born 1961) is the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs at the United States Department of State.
Early life and education
Nuland is the daughter of Yale bioethics and medicine professor Sherwin B. Nuland, whose original surname was Nudelman. In her father Dr. Nuland's books and interviews, he openly describes a family history of depression and mental illness, which required electroconvulsive therapy and led to his resignation as a clinician at Yale. Victoria’s paternal grandfather was Meyer Nudelman from a family of Jewish immigrants who came to New York City from the Russian Empire. Victoria Nuland graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall in 1979 and has a B.A. from Brown University. Nuland speaks Russian, French, and a little Chinese. Nuland has two children. Nuland’s husband is historian Robert Kagan, Council on Foreign Relations member, and co-founders of the think-tank "Project for the New American Century" (PNAC). The PNAC called for, among other things, regime change in Iraq and a strategy for securing global control.
I am sure there is much, much more to what you see in those pictures. McCain would never bow to a Nazi like you'd love to think. But no matter, this doesn't give Putin the right to barrel over another country.
I am sure there is much, much more to what you see in those pictures. McCain would never bow to a Nazi like you'd love to think. But no matter, this doesn't give Putin the right to barrel over another country.
Yes there is. It's in the links, and not just the ones in those posts. Perhaps studying all the information would assist, as clearly some here have not. And for the purpose of the topic it's not what I'd love to think. There exists several good interview clips of McCain on Youtube where I'd make a gut feeling call he's a lying c**t. Just one example here so as not to drift off topic eh (even though Syria is embroiled in the Ukraine problem).
Re the pics. You must believe Nuland's conversation is just an unbelievable coincidence then? Is it another coincidence Nuland and McCain are photographed with the Nuland mentioned, days before these self same were placed into Ukraine's now government days after Yanukovych chased out 12 hours after he signed for Russia's mega billions deal?
That's awfully unlucky timing then. You would image a full explanation backed up by the transcripts would be shown the White House to prove such an incredible series of fast occurring coincidences were just that, given the severity of their viral impact around the world.
Give yourself half hour and watch Putin questioned by many before the shit hit the fan. Tell me what he sounds like to you? I don't see a man looking for expansion, land grabs, war. I see a clever man doing his best for world stability. You of course won't. Your brain, like many here, is wired close minded American.
Yes... we know... the world is coming to an end and Putin will save us. Those photos have no meaning except what you want to believe.
That video... is strange. The questions asked ....have been asked a millions times before... we all know the answers. Was that video taken 10 years ago? He repeats what others have already said as though to make himself appear like he comes up with this. He is fooling you all. Putin on the Ritz.
Those photos have no meaning except what you want to believe.
Look mate, if you've no serious comment to make which has an intelligent bearing in this matter, just say nothing. This isn't the place for the uneducated to make schoolkid remarks. If you're out of your depth go play a game more suitable for younger age groups.
You really sound like ex-KGB agents are holding your family hostage and forcing you to support the unsupportable in exchange for their lives.
I sound like a British citizen, held hostage, forced to support living under an unstoppable U.S foreign policy in our part of the world in exchange for the freedoms of a free Europe without the meddling of the U.S with its own selfish agendas. These agendas which will do nothing to improve my quality of life. In fact just the opposite as our cost of living will not improve but become worse still here.
"(Even though our current administration is incompetent.)"
...and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that one.
Very appropriate video from Max Keiser, considering some of the comments.
When it all turns to crap at home, have a war. Somewhere. Anywhere, as long as there are resources to steal.
The criminal cabal in control for the past sixty years and more is cornered, the Federal Reserve and it's fiat Federal Reserve Dollars is on the way out.
What happened to the clown with the funny haircut? That didn't work either.
It's ok,.. but don't get your knickers in a twist. Those articles... are propaganda... made to make you believe America is bad. America is good. America helps 10x more people in the world than Russia ever will. Russia is a failed country. We (USA and the world) will not tolerate neo-nazies/racism anywhere in the world. Look at our NBA... that's not even politics.
