Aside from their antics you can't fault their skill on the bikes and their ability to weave through traffic at 150mph + choosing their lines with some precision. They made it home.

I wouldn't want that for anyone.

Karma's a bitch.

There's s gent in Sweden made a career of such things. Not saying it's right but I sure wouldn't want him to get killed over it.

I wonder what they actually topped out at. Looked like his speedo only went up to 299, I saw the tach keep moving beyond that.

Darwin will most likely claim another victim soon.

Wonder what their real speed was. My understanding is that speedo's usually are wrong by reading fast. Valerie Thompson's BMW is the first production 1000cc bike to run over 200 at Bonneville and it took work to get it there. These guys were getting 299 kph all most at will. Were they going fast boy howdy real fast but 299 I doubt it.

Very rude.

Scaring the cr $/ out of a few people isn't that funny. The poor schlub in the left lane passed on his left........missed by inches on his drivers door. Heart attack time.

Skilled? Yes. I don't care how fast you go solo on your bike or with speeding buds. Your life. Enjoy.

Endangering others in the process? Not good. No one in today's world exists in a vacuum. I'm not sure where the line should be......... and I'd put it pretty far out there. imho they are over it.

Im sorry, but I dont feel bad for someone doing this kind of crap on open roads - take it to the track.
If one of them wouldve messed up it couldve caused an innocent person their life. This sort of riding/behavior is irresponsible and selfish.

Beyond that - this is just another reason we, motorcyclists, have a bad rep

I have excellent shooting skills and some incredibly accurate long range loads.

I choose not to go target shooting at the mall or the public places like highways or parking lots even though I know that I'll only hit what I aim for.

+1 Slaughter.

Same deal when I had a toddler, and the neighbor frequently babysat their sons large aggressive dog.

In spite of it snarling and snapping and going generally bezerk on the other side of a 3' fence when my 2 year old wanted to play on the swingset, the neighbor assured me that it wouldn't do anything.

I *really* wanted to (but didn't) get out the .22 rifle, and plink away for an hour or two towards that dog, shooting from 25 yards at a 8" wide cut log as the backstop right on the edge of my property.

I was more confident in my ability to do that safely than I was in his ability to insure his dog would not do something dangerous.

Anyway, your point is exactly on target.

And is this not the point?

50 years ago 150mph anywhere would have been met with the same disdain as here, but it is not today. 150mph is firmly in most peoples bragging rights. Their excuse of course (mine too) is 'it was safe to do so'.

I can't speak for any one else but weaving thru traffic is as hybrid said

>> If one of them wouldve messed up it couldve caused an innocent person their life. This sort of riding/behavior is irresponsible and selfish.

Beyond that - this is just another reason we, motorcyclists, have a bad rep<<

I also find Rocket's comment fitting
>> heir excuse of course (mine too) is 'it was safe to do so' <<

open road no traffic,

the guys in the clip were IMO racing.....
one of the two had no care for the lines which can adversely effect traction and control

I guess I am a hypocrite as in the past I have done similar.....

sorry to any offended.....

I'm just surprised that they were able to make so many passes outside the lines. Around here the shoulders usually have the largest collection of tires and other car and truck parts that you would not want to hit at any speed.

I read an interesting graphic in MCN that showed BMW having the lowest death rate per 1000 riders (BMW - 0.24, Industry Aver - 0.42 and HD - 0.55). I chalked it up to BMW riders being more mature/experienced but then along comes the SS1000rr and the paradigm changes. Looks like you can be an ass on a Beemer too.

It's not a magic speed that puts them over my limit.
It's the traffic manners.

Technically you're not supposed to pass in the slow lane but I admit I did it today and might tomorrow.

I don't like to pass with such a high speed difference for simple safety reasons. Passing on both sides while "racing" like that is asking for doom. The odds are too high that you'll get a panic reaction swerve.

I won't even count the mentally ill who might see an overtaking bike at speed and deliberately cause a crash........or open a door. But they're out there.
