It won't help. The idiots will be too busy with their cell phones to bother with looking at the road. You could have a Marshall Amp blaring Stars and Stripes Forever at maximum volume while lighting off Commercial Grade Fireworks every 10 seconds, and the morons would still pull out in front of you.
I also agree,.. nothing will help the idiots. I was thinking more of the groggy, those just slightly distracted, sipping their coffee in the morning/evening rush hour traffic. (also in middle of the night)Hopefully most people might react like Steve Martin and Bill Murray...
Living with two head injuries (8.2% and 2.1%)...my reactions are mixed.
First reaction, it's too cerebral (no pun). People will have to stare, and try to figure it out...which will lead to target fixation. Look at it long enough...you'll drive right at it.
Not funny but....funny... (just picturing the driver saying... "What the hek is that..."
whats with the pro-stealth movement... maybe you should just invent a motorcycle cloaking device. I have been in many situations in my car... and on my bike ... observing other motorcyclists who wear all black or camo or whatnot. Doing my thing, driving... whatever...all of a sudden I see him... not very noticeable and sometimes even surprising. Sure,.. on a nice sunny day ...out for an occasional ride I suppose all-black is cool but not a terrific idea for daily commuter, amongst other cage commuters. Until the driver say's "But I didn't see him" I guess everybody dies eventually.... such is life.
You know; Freight trains have loud horns, have loud rumbling engines, have flashing and/or oscillating bright lights, run on fixed tracks and there are warning signs at all crossings; yet idiots still pull out in front of them and get creamed. If the jackasses can't see an oncoming train, do you really believe that they'll see you?
No, they won't, none of the Jackasses will see me, I completely agree with you. But the others... one of whom may the next cager to commit motorcycle mayhem... just might.
I seriously doubt most people will pay enough attention to grasp the meaning of this helmet. Certainly not those who I would like to pay more attention to what they are doing on the road. Nothing to do at all about being seen. Even with my dark sense of humor, I don't care for the humor aspect. PSA???
