>>> it's nice to know that the other end of the bell shaped curve actually touches the X axis. That is truly funny. Thanks, Court. Getting Trolls to leave of their own accord is virtually impossible because they suck up the oxygen in the room. It is natural for posters to respond to Trolls. I have deleted countless messages before transmission because I knew it would only embolden this Troll. Converting Trolls to useful board members is almost as pointless as the Troll's ego comes before anything else. This particular Troll lies about his identity and as such, does not respect others and more importantly, himself. His deceit, anger, and lack of an intellectual spark leads one to ponder: Why is this Idiot still here? He consumes yet does not produce. The best that he can offer is hurling insults and yelling one-liners. To further amuse us, he takes special aim at two (amongst others) of the people who have made Badweb great and who have given time, money, and assistance to fellow Buellers while asking nothing in return. My opinion is that it is way passed time for {F/F,F} to be shown the door. |

I could welcome discussion with FrankFred if there was an honest dialog. I just don't see that though. Lacking that, he does provide some good comic relief, as does the Ukraine thread for the most part. |

Bundy has no right to graze his cattle on federal land just because he has done it for years. This is not an issue of "states rights" as the Tea Party always claims. If you read the article I posted, you would realize that the Constitution was written to enforce a strong union and limit the powers of individual states. I don't make excuses for democrats or liberals who are hypocrites. I never liked politics as an occupation however I do understand the motives of the African Americans you listed. As leaders of a minority ethnic group, their actions are labeled racists when in fact they simply wish to advance the interests of their people. If whites were a minority (as we may soon be) you would understand. The Tea Party leaders are racist. They gain support from white people by promoting fear that minorities will somehow usurp power from the majority thus their attacks on Obama. But this is not a Black/White issue. They know that it is a rich versus the rest of us issue. If you're not in the top five percent, your support for the Tea Party is unfounded. |

What happened to Marco Rubio as a champion of the Tea Party. His Latino heritage was proof that the party was all-inclusive. Until he came out for immigration reform. I guess one is enough eh? |

So Fred Re the range war.. It's ok for the government to do this? that they can set up first amendment free zones? This is national security? they arrested the mans son for filming their activities, but thats ok? some turtles that were [not] native are more important than the man making his living? Reports say that there are govt snipers there. ( tacit threat ) In this instance I side with the rancher, his family have been there since the 1800s I don't care for any government answers, these people subjecting the man and his family to threats, that are unjustified [ he is not selling drugs, burying hazmat, or making meth, ] he is raising food...... DOMESTIC GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE WORKING FOR THE PEOPLE / PROTECTING THE CONSTITUTION. THESE FEDS ARE NOT... SO WHAT NEXT, DON'T PAY A PARKING TICKET AND THEY SHOW UP AT YOUR HOUSE? LIKE RUBY RIDGE WAS THIS IS OVER REACH, LET THEM INVESTIGATE HOLDER, UNSEAL OBAMAS RECORDS THIS IS WHY THE SECOND AMENDMENT WAS WRITTEN. The over reach events we are hearing about are becoming more numerous our public servants have lost their way ... waiting for the shooting to start, I bet the officials start it..... TEA Taxed Enough Already. |

The adolescent humor really hurts. It wasn't meant as a joke. Every post you make seems to be less correct and more full of BS than the last one. So, please quit. No one takes anything you say seriously and most of your posts are met with either laughter or contempt. If this was part of some intelligent, honest, discourse and debate with good points supported by real facts, I would be all for it. But when you continue to put forth lies and distortions of the truth as facts, I'm done. I'm sure there is a board somewhere full of people just like you that will love and agree with what you have to say. But, in case you haven't noticed, it isn't this one. |

"some turtles that were [not] native are more important than the man making his living?" Meats not that important to me. I'm on the side of the turtles. One rancher decides he has the right to graze his cattle on land that's not his. Where does he get off. I suppose if I were a lumberjack that I could go on into federal parks and start cutting down trees. Your definition of freedom is a return to the Wild West. That ain't happenin'. |

I'm on the side of the turtles. Typical liberal. Sides with the turtles, so he sides with the party that slaughtered hundreds of these turtles just last summer. Kind of like blacks siding with those who lynched them, passed gun control so they couldn't defend themselves from being lynched, passed Jim Crow laws, packed them into slums, decimated their offspring with abortion, fails to educate them and now pays them just barely enough to keep them from getting themselves out of poverty. By what authority does the Federal government even do this? Just the authority they claimed to have in 1993, not by what is in the Constitution. This issue crosses no state lines. Nevada should have jurisdiction. |

Meats not that important to me. It is for me, so is the fact that the rancher helps contribute to jobs in other places, the meat packers, grocers, shipper, vets, If the turtles were so important why did the nature center charged with their care get closed? why were turtles euthanized by the govt? Its rumored that the land is wanted for a solar farm..... I think its a control thing. The Nevada gov should grow a set and have the state police arrest the BLM agents and contractor cowboys for rustling BTW the rancher used to pay the BLM they had an agreement and the BLM did not hold up their end..... So who broke the law if the BLM was in breach of contract? } |

"I think its a control thing." In a court of law, what you think is inadmissible. The Nevada gov't knows the law. That is why they can't defend the rancher. If he did have a contract, it wasn't renewed. I doubt the loss of these grazing rights is going to raise the price of beef. |

The land in question had been leased to the rancher, he is not grazing cattle on park land, the Jurisdiction of "owner ship" has changed at some point back in the 90's If I went to a national park and cut trees, w/o precedent or permit It would be reasonable to expect arrest, If I had been cutting an area for some time and while cutting it the gov came in made it a park and said you can lease it we will manage it, but did not. Why pay the lease?, You misunderstand the roll of govt, and its powers. "Public" land is leased for cattle, timber and other purposes, to generate revenue. when govt fails to "hold up its end" of a deal its still breach of contract, Some bureaucrat issued orders with out respect for the individual in question and possibly with no regard for the situation The response by the BLM is heavy handed, and Tyrannical, Those who support or look the other way may find their rights trampled in the future. The warning in this situation is explicit. turtles or not..... |
