Not sure if the Quick Board is the best place to put this, so if anyone has any other thoughts, let me know or feel free to move it. Basically, just wondering if anyone in the southeast does track days and who you're doing it with. I've done a few different on track activities over the last couple years and thinking about signing up with Team Pro-Motion group since they ride most of the tracks around me (just north of Charlotte, NC, near Lake Norman... new resident if anyone is interested in going for a local ride). So just wondering if anyone else on here does it or has any thoughts or recommendations. Thanks. |

I did a track day with Team Pro-Motion last year at VIR (North) and really enjoyed it. Nesba (apparently now called N2) and Sportbike Track Time also do some events in the southeast, Road Atlanta, Barber, Carolina Motorsports Park, NC Bike, Jennings etc. I've never had a bad experience with any of the track day groups. I don't recommend Talladega Grand Prix, unless they change it so you can run in both directions. That was my first track day and my left leg was trembling by the last session of the day. |

Thanks for the feedback. I got to do Summit Point with Motorcycle Excitement last year, CMP with STT the year before (I love the back stretch there) never done Talladega. Had a lot of fun both places. A few others as well. I did a write up on here while back about my experience at VIR and low siding Turn 1 . Looks like I'll probably go with TPM. They seem to have a good variety of places I can hit without spending all my money on fuel to get there. Would love to know if there are any other members that I might get to see out there. The other times I've been, I'm usually the only Buell out there, maybe one other, but every time I go through tech, it's the same bad joke, "Not sure about your chain... looks a little loose." |

There's a track in upstate South Carolina. I'm going to try to hit that one when I get back to the states. I don't know anyone who has been there though. Atlanta has Road Atlanta. |

There's a track in upstate South Carolina. I'm going to try to hit that one when I get back to the states. I don't know anyone who has been there though. That's Carolina Motorsports Park just south of Kershaw, SC (north of Camden). http://www.carolinamotorsportspark.com/ That's probably the closest track to Charlotte. I've never done a track day there but I have watched a few races. It looks like a nice facility to ride; the viewing areas are sort of limited when they're racing. Badwebber "Rubberdown" (not very active here in a while) has raced there several times. |

PuddlePirate, It's fun. Only had a chance to ride it the one time with STT, but I had a blast on it and really looking forward to riding it again. Little short and not too technical, but there are a couple places where you can let the 1125 stretch out at least somewhat. 6th gear isn't in the cards for me, but you might get there with the CR gearing. Should hit me up when you get back. Be glad to ride with ya. |

I'd be happy to find a couple guys to ride with, especially for a track day. Any time after August, I'm game for. |
