I was a hard core Mechwarrior player. Mech 2-4. Quit cold turkey after working my way up to #12 rank on the planet....... and actually read my stats as to how many hours I played. Will not play online multiplayer games anymore. Addict. "Social player" would be a self delusion. Looks like good version of game. Prefer a higher level of customization on the weapons and refuse to pay cash for upgrades. Let me know how it is. While I sip my Shirley Temple. |

No cash for upgrades... There are some Hero mechs (just variants of mechs available for cbills) that give a cbill boost that can be bought for real money. Some of those variants can be configured to fit a specific role better than the CBill ones, but not by much and you can always fill a role just as well or better with another mech that doesn't cost money. You prefer to be able to mount any weapon anywhere there's room then? As far as how good the game is... It's more MW for sure. It's just nice to always have people to shoot. Also... the reason I ask is because I've joined a merc company and we have 2-3 12 man groups running generally three to four days a week and at least two four man groups at almost all times. We're looking for more . |

Cool, enjoy. Not being critical, the comment was meant to be more generic. I loved setting up the mechs. Little ones with big guns, "eggs with sledgehammers". Big ones in different configurations for "missile boat" defense and urban, etc. etc. lot of fun. Ever try Shogo? first person shooter meets Mechs. Part of the game was on foot, then you'd fight a mech. Monolith Engine, not bad. The best was the mod called "Squishy". That let you fight mechs on foot & vice versa. Fun. I think you see than in Titanfall? |

Anyone who is a fan of the genre will like this one and I have to say... playing in 12man drops against other 12 man teams with full voice comms is AMAZING!!! Feel free to PM me if you download it. Aesquire - Yeah... I played Shogo. I'd say it was one of the best non-mechwarrior titles out there but the way the mecs work in MW is much more "simulator" style to me and that's why I really prefer it. There have been others also, but nothing has really ever been as good at being a "mech combat simulator" as MW. |

I don't know why, but I've been getting an unusually high amount of emails from MWO telling me to buy crap as of late. I have too many time sinks as it is, I don't even have time to play the 1,236 (at time of posting) games I have in my Steam library. Maybe I'll fire up MWO one of these days, but I know I won't be able to do anything more than a quick match here and there. |
