Well I called the number when I asked 2 questions and they couldn't answer either one I said I am sorry your not ready I don't want to sign up. The problem I know have is my new rates in May because I am a partnership and no longer qualify as an employer and must seek regular rate in. is no so high I wont be having health ins. at all this truly sucks!!! | ||

Ahhhhhh . . . .but don't assume for a moment it's not being noticed . . . . I landed back in NYC today . . got home to a stack of medical bills. The "client pays" portion of the dentists visit was $600 and the root canal . . .well of the $4,600 (that I had to pay at the time of the visit) I got reimbursed $2,700. I have some of the best coverage there is and this is going to get insane. By a strange coincidence (riding in a car, headed to LAX this morning) I got to listen in on an hour long conference call as one of the largest Insurance companies had their weekly "what meds will we cover" conference. This is going to get good when the employer mandate kicks in. Hurry with my $2,500 big o ! ! ! . . . or, to quote nancy pelosi . . ."affordable, affordable, affordable, affordable". Oh . . how I wish I'd inherited $29M with of vineyards like her. :-) | ||

Trading Emails with a South East Asian ExPat member of Cigna Leadership this week; things here are very 'liberal' in that there is the freedom to try and do new things, to test markets, and to exploit regional care realities that exist only in microcosm ie WHAT NEEDS / NEEDED to be done before a full scale roll out of a 'transformational' system. The big benefit to Korean Med Plans - NO Medicaid, NO Medicare - and NONE of the ideology that bred either program. I am hopeful we get a successful test launch of exactly what I recommended in my Master's Thesis. News as it happens. | ||

I don't care anymore my wife just had a catscan and the ins refused to pay for it even though we got it oked before it was done and we have a conf. number for said ok. I am just gonna throw my hands up and say F it.And this is the ins. Question: for those not complying and will be "fined", Where does that money go? I still have my doctor, and my "plan". Cash is my plan, and my doctor accepts it (often at a reduced rate). Sebelius and others in the Obama Administration, categorically stated that the March 31 deadline would not be delayed and then delayed it. After that, she said she didn't lie. So you go to anthem, or blue cross, or well point (all paid and bribed in the legislation - you will notice Aetna is considering fully opted out NATIONALLY for the coming 2015 year of coverage) (gee - FIFTYS) ..... the thing is - you DON'T ! At a 4-1 ratio - you enroll in Medicaid. So those of you that actually work for a living, and get deductions out of your pocket for that line item (and Medicare, and SSI as well) watch those deduction amounts ESCALATE over the coming year. So not only are you subsidizing their 'care' through higher premiums (with often worse coverage & access) you are loosing more out of your pocket for 'NONDiscretionary Funds' The goal is to get to a 50% pain point where you loose HALF of your salary through deductions or premiums and you (or the proxies they say are 'YOU') are BEGGING for a 'smarter' "Singer Payer Option" `'just like Canada' .... and it work as poorly as the Canadian system Watch and Learn Wait and See | ||
