I'm actually glad that BO is far less a statesman, politician, and diplomat than Putin. The simple fact is that he is a tyrant. If we have to be stuck with a tyrant for 8 years, the weaker the better. If he was strong like Putin, he would be much more of a threat to the US. |

Don't have to hear Putin's speech. How could anyone possibly make an informed judgement without doing so? Oh that's right. You're American's. Apologies for the generalisation and sarcasm, but what the hell do you expect given the conversation. Rocket in England |

A little scary how enamored you are with Putin though. It's the bare chested horseback pictures, isn't it? No, it's the good grace as a human being in such an important position, he showed today, rather than get on his horse bare chested and behave like Cameron and Obama have done and continue to do in this delicate to many people issue. No....no..... NOT a knock on Putin. I'm just THAT aware how Lame Obama is. Take the most venal, corrupt, incompetent MP you can think of. Give him power beyond reason. Put him in a situation so far over his head that he has zero clue what to do, so blames his predecessor. For 5 years. A Graduate of Harvard with Sealed records so no one is allowed to know his grades or who paid for his education. A public advocate of Communist Revolution. A man who publicly threatens the leader of a sovereign nation if said leader ( Assad ) uses any of the tons of chemical weapons against his own people or anyone else. Then lies to the planet and say he never said that. But.... make him the most popular man in the country. The press loves him and some actually want to bear his children. ( mostly the males, which has deep implications.... ) And.... he takes bribes in the millions of dollars, and changes laws at whim, based obviously on the bribes received. And if you mention it you are yelled at by very angry people. A fellow who plays more golf than any leader before him. But not with women, and never, ever reveals a score. ( Probably Because Bill Clinton got caught cheating ) Now match that incomparable level of Incompetence, ego and narcissism against Vladimir Putin riding his Brown Bear shirtless in winter. Of Course Putin wins. Duh. |

From what I saw of the Putin speech... he made some remarks that were a tad idiotic.. but I have yet to see the whole thing. I think Ukraine should have their own vote about Crimea. Make a huge announcement that it will happen 30 days from now. Just to see where the people lean. |

Rocket ... I've stayed out of this for the most part because I don't know all the intricate details ... That said, your constant praise of Putin, a Dictator for the most part, is a little strange to say the least. Said with tongue planted firmly in cheek ... It almost makes me wonder if you are one of those guys that is hired to go to message boards and spread propaganda? (Message edited by macbuell on March 18, 2014) |

No, we always torque those guys off with facts. I can even understand Rocket not trusting US news. I sure don't. That's why I started this goat rodeo, to get news not filtered by Obama fans at CNN. Yes, Rocket's willingness to use Russian Propaganda TV as his trusted source is disturbing, I'd like some BBC stuff in contrast, or other European sources. As to being a Putin fan? Given a choice between 2 foreign leaders, one a murderous tyrant, and the other Vladimir, which would you prefer? |

I can't give you BBC as EVERYTHING they're broadcasting on the news feeds appears to be heavily biased toward UK / EU. Worse, the propaganda broadcast is glaringly obvious. ITV made the same errors on this evenings main news. Concentrating heavily on the dead Ukraine soldier. Pictures of him with his two kids. Video footage of his body carried through the busy streets. Ditto rural area. Then showing his body bound and lifted into his grave and buried. We get it. He's dead. Now tell the whole fecking story and not corrupt opinion of ordinary folk who happen to watch the news but have little understanding of what's really going on, nor do they care, save for expecting a nuke war might break out. Well the dead body sure got their attention now, and guess whose side they'll be on. That's right. The wrong one. Ours! We are wrong in this. That's the bottom line. It does not mean I'm a Putin supporter. Rocket in England |

If you want to know the 'truth' watch what EVERYONE is saying..... and then ignore their 'facts' Each outlet will spool their own reality - you will find common threads with different points of view told - but in the end; you want the truth - you gotta go there, be there, have friends there Not a satelitte in space Not a 'news' agency on dole Not a failed statesmen attempting to tell you what is what PS My friends in Crimea are quite supportive of the Russian effort..... but they are right behind it in an INDEPENDENT Crimea effort. They will use the Russians to let loose of Ukrainian influence, and then push for their own independence. wait and see watch and learn |

Rocket please post a link to the EU propaganda. Feel free to label it as such. In fact please do. If you don't hear the different sides you can't judge what is real. For example. If folks had heard the Russian side a century ago this August France would not have lost a generation. Or England, Germany etc. Or maybe not but the goat orgy of fine diplomacy that followed is going to get some insane hindsight docudramas and sudden experts on tv. I've already been watching some of it. This smells like 1914. Hope I'm wrong. Really. I had more fun watching "The Great Martian War". |

No I'm tired of posting shit. If you want it go look, like I have. You can find out anything you want and believe as you will. So what is the point? I've previously posted enough information. Some, most, does not strike me as propaganda, but factual news reporting. Non of it is convincing enough for many here so I'm not going to piss about posting more shit at your request when it won't sway your already made up mind Putin's a dictator out to steal eastern Europe back. Or whatever else it is that scares you about him. And please don't be so condescending as to imagine I'm just sat with my feet up drinking coffee watching RT News FFS. I do have a brain. I know. Hard to believe, but it's true. Rocket in England |

Open source intell is suspect.... but so are official 'channels' a true spook knows it is all BS until you are on ground, in the thick of it, and have your a$$ actually on the line. How many times has the intell been off when we were supposed to be somewhere, doing something because somebody thought somebody else might do something over there in a vicinity not generally specified. ;?/ too many f'n times for my liking. 'intell' from the desk - is ALWAYS different from intell in the field. Anybody that says differently - hasn't been in the field, and more often than not, have never been in uniform. I repeat what some of you are finally beginning to understand. There are ONLY three types of Obama Voters. 1. Uninformed useful idiots who blindly act out of ignorance and a tingly feel in their legs. 2. Those on the take from this purveyor of Crony Socialism. 3. Those who despise the United States of America. There is no other possibility. Only the Group 1 voter has a chance for redemption but better wake up before August 1914 and 1938 continue their march into 2014. |

If Russia had a military base in Ukraine(Crimea) .. .why can't Ukraine have one in the new Russian Crimea? Why they take over everything? This is neanderthal tactics. Russia is looking more and more like idiots. To me anyways. I think they just have vodka muscles. I see dumb people. (Russians) |

Biden's reassurances to NATO allies ... "Trust me when I say this, if Russia invades your country, our condemnation will be loud and emphatic and our actions small and inconsequential." Just to be clear, that isn't actual quote but accurate, IMO. |

Well it appears Liz Wahl is the liar and had her own agenda all along. “What’s clear is what’s happening right now amid this crisis is that RT is not about the truth,” she told CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “It’s about promoting a Putinist agenda. And I can tell you firsthand, it’s also about bashing America.” Really Liz? Rocket, you did notice that "truth dig" is a Communist publication? The reason I asked for English news links is all I have found is the same old as here, and pundits who claimed that "Putin wouldn't dare risk a war with us, since we buy stuff from him". Recent events show they were wrong, and I said they were idiots last week. Seems to me they have a serious case of "mirroring". Can not believe anyone thinks differently than they do. And impose their motives on others. Me? I have no desire to run your life. But I know others have that desire, and some will kill to get that power. Here's a US Conservative op-ed. http://pjmedia.com/michaelledeen/2014/03/18/the-bi g-story-the-global-war-goes-mostly-unreported/?sin glepage=true |
