Brian Cameron a few years back wrecked his XB9S and came out with some pretty serious spinal cord damage. Some of you may have met him at March Badness V. He was the guy taking Gixxer Corner in the wheelchair.
Now he's with a band called Reluctant Saints. They rock!
The reason for this thread is that Brian has a message for all of us. And now ladies and germs, I give you our very own XBullet Brian Cameron!
Hugh, that was Mike (Shred) that wrecked up there. He and Pete both bit it that weekend. For some more inspiration... Pete aka Torqer Has been up to a lot of good. He never left Shepard's Spinal Center. After he was released back in the real world, Pete went back to work there. Helping people realize all isn't lost. Here's a good video from Pete. http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/wheelchair-racer-finds-enjoyment-powered-by-dogs/ncjMx/ Pete recently bought a Baja and just got finished installing the hand controls.
Nothing stops these guys. Both are good friends, and they really inspire me.
Rocket, he gets around, and still paraplegic. He's got control of more muscles than Pete does for instance. It took lots of hard work to get where he is now, I'm not sure he'll be independent from the chair. He's even been riding a couple times and bought a Ninja 250 recently.
