>>>>It is a working act to be modified to best suit the needs of the people. Hahahahaha . . . . pretty much what I told the Trooper when I was pulled over going 5 mph over the speed limit on a lonely stretch of Nevada highway. You . . .my friend . . . are so clueless that you may be a danger to yourself. Obamacare (a name publicly chosen and proclaimed by the idiot in charge) won't be with us in 36 months. What we will have are some very wealthy insurance folks . . . the largest government bailout in our wake . . .and we'll finally get around to the business of fixing some of the real problems with health care. Simply giving free stuff to folks under the "bama gonna give me free gas" doctrine . . .is as ludicrous as it's playing out. |

" . . pretty much what I told the Trooper when I was pulled over going 5 mph over the speed limit on a lonely stretch of Nevada highway. " You ought to slow down and smell the roses. Speeding may cause you to be a "danger to yourself". Does that mean you are also "clueless"? |

Well because of OBAMA care my health ins which renews in May could be and has been quoted to be raised from 1175 per month to 2568 which means I won't have ins.I make to much to get help, but us in NY and NJ have way higher costs of living compared to many other states so of course we show more income. Take a family in say Staten Island a guy making $65,000 a year his property taxes will average 12K a year that's 250 a week for the right to pay his mortgage. The car ins is higher because of where he lives fuel is ok but just as expensive as anywhere else. Food is extremely expensive in the North East and unless you work on your block it's gonna cost you a few quid a month in tolls like several hundred. Take a guy in say Canton Ohio who is making the same and his $65K goes a hell of a lot further than the SI guy and add to the fact that they could own the same house in size and amenities and the SI guy spent 475K for it while the Canton guy spent 220K. How about they do a little more homework before they try to cram something down our throats. I admit the system is way broken but Obamacare is a shytstorm plain and simple. |

"How very lefty of you." I belong to no political party. I espouse no political doctrine. I don't like politics or politicians. The legislative branch of government should be filled with ironworkers, plumbers, autoworkers, etc., not millionaires. Ignorant people need to label otherwise they get confused. |

"I belong to no political party." "Lefty" isn't a political party, so I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. "I espouse no political doctrine." You absolutely do. With every post you reveal your leftist tendencies. And before your head explodes, political doctrine and political party are not the same thing. |

Yeah, Obamacare is working real good. When my company encounters this kind of spaghetti code, whether it is hardware, firmware, or software, the people responsible are fired. However, my company is a leader in the industry and this kind of gross incompetence is discovered early and corrective action taken long before a product can make it to the marketplace. Obamacare is spaghetti code and pure crap. It is not suffering a "glitch". It is destructive and harmful. (Message edited by reindog on February 13, 2014) |

Things aren't looking to good for enrollments. Obamacare Enrollment Rate Slows Markedly In January
quote:On Wednesday, the Department of Health and Human Services announced that enrollment in the Obamacare private exchanges increased by 1,146,071 in January. In December, HHS reported 1,788,000 enrollees in the month of December. That suggests a drop-off of approximately 500,000, or 29 percent. Yet this underestimates the true extent of enrollment dropoffs. The HHS reporting period for December was four weeks, beginning on 12/1 and ending on 12/28. The reporting period for January was five weeks, beginning on 12/29 and ending on 2/1. This suggests that in December, enrollments averaged 447,000 per week, compared to 229,000 in January, or a 49 percent drop-off in new enrollees. It is clear by now that the administration will not reach the original CBO estimate of 7 million enrollees by the deadline at the end of March. The real question is: how far short will they fall? If February’s enrollment rate matches that of January, the Administration will be able to claim 916,000 more enrollees in the current reporting period, for a grand total of about 4.2 million. That is 60% of the initial CBO estimate with a month to go before the end of open enrollment. On the other hand, it is hard to tell whether matching the pace set in January is reasonable for February. Notably, Kathleen Sebelius announced on January 24 that HHS had reached 800,000 enrollees already for the month, suggesting that the rate in the final two weeks of the month was lower than the rate in the first three weeks. One thing is for sure: the total enrollment of 3.3 million reported by HHS is an overestimate. At this point, industry insiders estimate that about 20% of people whom HHS claims are enrollees have not paid their premiums. Meanwhile, hard data from a handful of states suggests that the number of non-payees may be larger. If the insiders are right, then the real level of enrollment right now is just 2.6 million, which puts the administration at just 38 percent of the original target with two-thirds of the enrollment period now finished.

If Obamacare is such a friggin' success, why does this criminal Administration continually withhold data and refuse to answer questions that the American taxpayer is entitled to because WE paid for it? All the way from Obama down to Sebelius, all we hear are lies and half truths at best. What is the dictator and his cronies afraid of? Are health insurers a good stock market opportunity? If not now, will they be during the upcoming, Obamacare mandated Federal Government bailout? I am always looking for opportunities for my money to earn money. I wish to follow my passions the old fashioned, American way unlike the looters and moochers that the Democrats are spawning. That is, study hard, work hard, and then make my money work hard. For that, I am a class enemy of the crime syndicate in Washington. |

"You absolutely do. With every post you reveal your leftist tendencies." I used to throw a baseball with my right hand. And I was pretty damn good. Does that make me a righty? Lefty, Righty - What does that mean? The connotations that they imply in your brain are keeping you from being objective. You've lost your sight. You're a victim of propaganda and simply a tool for those who wish to use you. Think independently for once in your life. Or are you too comfortable agreeing with everyone on this thread? There used to be a license plate that read "No Club - Lone Wolf". Anyone no where I can find one for a motorcycle? |

is there an opportunity to be made in insurance. Yes. But it crashes in 3 years when their bail out also is pulled out from them like a rug. There are a couple of entities I would suggest that are coming out winners in this. hCentric a consulting crew out of Colorado - seem to be ginning and bilking this thing nicely of course Accenture, The Pharma companies are going to continue to be the darlings of the sector; esp Roche as they still hold H1N1 and H1N5 exclusivity Look for investment opportunities in Law firms, Legal Advise Services, and Tax Prep services if you are an entrepreneur enjoy the show. (it all crashes about the 2015-16 time frame when the currency collapses and is replaced; and it is right on schedule) |

"Think independently for once in your life" That's precious, coming from you. "Or are you too comfortable agreeing with everyone on this thread?" I don't agree with everyone on this thread. I certainly don't agree with you. Sifo and I routinely bump heads. This is not an echo chamber of conservative thought. Everyone's opinion is welcome. Welcome, but not necessarily embraced. You're going to have to do a better job of convincing me that you're right if that is your goal, but so far you've provided no facts to support your arguments. Perhaps swaying people to your point of view is not your purpose here. Yes, that is very likely the case. Please, tell me how you justify your support for the ACA, given the catastrophe that it has turned out to be. A catastrophe, by the way, that was predicted by everyone with the foresight to have read the bill before voting on it. Not ONE of the people who voted for it read it before doing so. You have my undivided attention. |

" 'Think independently for once in your life' That's precious, coming from you. " As far as I can tell I'm the only one here in support of universal healthcare. Seems pretty independent to me. I don't like the market place idea and would have much preferred the single payer option. It's the market place sites causing most of the problem but it's the best they could do given REPUBLICAN objections. So it's a compromise. Isn't that what government is supposed to do? Justify support for the ACA? Many people without the means to pay for a doctor visit or a hospital visit now can. What more justification do you need? "Not ONE of the people who voted for it read it before doing so." I'll refrain from calling that a lie. I just can't imagine that you have proof of that. |

Frank, do you remember when then Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said "we need to pass it first to see what's in it?" The leader of the majority party in the House said that because nobody on her side read it before voting on it. That is exactly backwards of how things should be done. There was also an incredibly brief vetting period for such a historic law, which helped facilitate its passing while simultaneously slashing the amount of time available to debate it. They wanted the law pushed through ASAP, and then piecewise fix it later on. If the republicans did the same, ie, push a law through a narrow vetting window to find out what was in it later, would you have a problem with that? |

I have obama care, 3500$ ded, and + 3000$ co ins, so If I would afford some prescribed testing, its only 6500$ this is better?, Really? Last test cost about 4K O.O.P. As I see it I can get tested until I have no means to pay for it.. I wont talk about single payer, as you get "Death panels" don't believe me? Sibelius refused to help a young girl with CF get a needed lung transplant by going on the adult list. it had to be ordered by a judge, FACT Nationally publicized on FOX Do you know how they say F**K YOU in DC?
