Today, per the Homecoming list of things you could do while in Wisconsin, I rode up to Road America on my "new" 1125r. Sunny and calm in the morning. Met Steeleagle there. Saw some good racing. Pegram finished 7th in the rain. And rain it did! Doris told me that it was going to rain. Had I listened, I'd have put the rain liners back in my jacket and pants. I rode back for 2:30 hours in one downpour to the next! You know you're getting wet when your underwear starts pooling the water I really enjoyed being back on the 1125r. Erik makes great bikes |

What a GREAT Homecoming! Thanks to all who were a part of it! I left East Troy about 10:30 this morning and made it to Huntington, WV by 10:00 (Eastern time) tonight. Should make tomorrow an easy ride. Illinois and Indiana - next time you can keep all that rain crap! 1313 |

I left Elkhart Lake yesterday around 5:30 am and managed to stay ahead of most of the rain,,,until I got hit by the typhoon just east of Valparaiso, IN! The wind pushed me around the whole trip, but I made it home around 2:30 pm safe and sound...and only a little wet. Ditto the comments on Homecoming. This is one of my two planned vacations and folks who don't know Buell people look at me funny when I tell them I'm going to Wisconsin to meet up with folks, but mostly without knowing who will be there. You guys make my week and are truly a family for me, and Steve and Doris are the chefs! Seeing folks I haven't seen for 12 months, plus the receiving the red carpet treatment from EBR when all we expected was the use of pavement was icing on the cake. Ourdee: Start the countdown for 2015!! I'm in! |

OK. I THINK I'm relatively caught up from being gone a week, so I'm opening up a post-HC2014 t-shirt order process. I'm going to start a new thread on the topic and plan to use that thread as the primary update location, but here goes: I'm going to place a second order for shirts on Friday, June 27. These are for delivery and the cost will be $25 each, delivered. I haven't priced shipping costs, but will use USPS and will only ship domestically at that price. As before EBR Racewear will donate ALL revenues collected (less shipping) to the Boys & Girls Club of Huntsville, TX. BTW: The HC 2014 shirts delivered in East Troy the weekend of 5/28 raised $1060 so far for the B & G Club!! How to order: Send me a PM or email with: Quantities Sizes Shipping address (Especially if not listed via PayPal) I'll respond with my PayPal address. Once I receive funds, I'll confirm you have a pending order. If you don't receive a confirming email, you don't have a shirt on order, either because I haven't received funding or have gotten hit by a bus! Don't use PayPal? PM me and we can see about working something out. Keep in mind I won't be placing this order until 6/27, so I will NOT be ordering individual shirts, just one, final order from EBR Racewear to be shipped to ME. I will then sub-ship the individual orders. EBR Racewear has stepped up with their generosity to their charity of choice, so I'm not going to take advantage of their generosity. Once I place the order with EBR Racewear I'll post here on expected delivery dates. I'm sure I'm leaving something out, so if you have questions, post them here. Again, I'm going to start a new thread so as not to highjack this one for shirts, so be checking there as well. I'll do the best I can as fast as I can. |
