By MODEL, good luck, as that's not something HD normally made public. Total production would be included in the 2011 and later HD shareholder reports. Might even still be in the current one, check investor relations on the HD website.

I can check my laptop too, I might still have the pdf.

There was an official photo of the "last" 2010 model rolling off the line in late 2009. It was a Lightning Long, if memory serves, and was said to be headed for the AMA's Motorcycle Hall of Fame museum. That's one accounted for.....

But also I seem to recall a story about the last run of 2010 Ulys being delayed due to some parts (peg mounts or some such) failing QC. Maybe the "last" 2010 models were Ulys?

Not much help on the subject, but you're sure to find someone on BW with the answer.

I thought the numbers were posted somewhere... like 100 or so Uly's and maybe some 1125R's.

Somebody here where I work (who I didn't know well) had one but sold it before I knew he had it up for sale.

That is correct! : )

That said, if you want to know how many domestic 2010 models were built before the closing:

they sure spent a lot of time building Blasts.

Are the ratio's the same in previous years?

Not really, which is funny. The first few years they built a boatload of Blasts, then not many.

Number of Blasts produced: 22,785
2000 = 2,280
2001 = 4,751
2002 = 3,787
2003 = 2,921
2004 = 1,245
2005 = 1,620
2006 = 1,437
2007 = 1,488
2008 = 1,360
2009 = 1,349
2010 = 547

I'm too lazy to dig up totals of everything per year, but it was around 10k bikes give or take since the XB came out.

I do find it funny that after the Blast was cubed and disowned that they ended up making a majority of the production just Blasts.

Froggy in your first post it totals to a quantity of 26 2010 1125R models but in your 2nd post it clearly states a qty of 95. Would love to know which one is truly accurate. Regardless I never plan on selling my 2010 1125R!!

Never Mind!! I read closer. The first post is Domestic model total. Reading comprehension sometimes eludes me.

Thanks for all the info.

Side note:

When I visited the plant, the Blasts were built in their own little area and did not run down the XB and 1125 line.

When I first visited the factory the Blast were being built off to the back of the building but the last visit they had changed that area. I can't remember any Blasts being built that day but I thought they were being built on the same production line. Can someone clarify this?

I doubt the Blast, using a different motor that would require a different jig, would enter the bubble-gum machine. Just seems like logistics. Brankin (1313) would know . . . his forte was planning stuff like that.

I've never understood why anyone would think it's secret. But . . then I recall the folks at HD who were aghast at what we did at M.I.T. in 1998 and the fact that customers (gasp) would be able to see what Buell dealers had in inventory.

The breakdowns I have include all the bodywork, frame and wheel colors and options and the build notes. The fun ones are the "special" bikes that go down the line for a specific purpose or person. Generally the first 20-30 bikes of a run are marked for somebody (a person) or something ( a purpose . . media, museum, test, homoligation, etc)

1125RR = 3 == Most expensive bike I've ever "handled" for a short time. Specifically it was "Here, hold this, don't drop it since there's only a couple of them." Amazingly light for what it is, they told me they had to ADD ballast to make weight for racing. Got the pics for posterity since I knew my wife wouldn't let me drag it home at the time.

Court, because many bike manufacturers (HD especially) keep those numbers close to their vest. I think it is generally a silly, competitive paranoia, but it's not uncommon.
