I was wondering who makes the motor for this bike? I know it's not made in Wi and it is just assembled in Kc. |

How do you "know" this? Just curious, as I've not read anything yet (though that would not be surprising if true). |

Does one of those links answer the question? I see claims of relationships, but didn't click each link since there was no quote or citation. I know it's a smaller redesign of the basic 60° 4V/cyl V-rod motor, but with screw/locknut valve adjusters. |

Here's the answer from an employee at the MOCO when I asked him 2 weeks ago..... "No, the motor is made in India, shipped here and the bike is assembled in KC. It has zero to do with the Revolution (V Rod motor) and is lucky to put out 50 hp (700 version)" I asked dude if HD used the Rev as a basis for this, basically making a "baby version"....to this he said... "hell no, this new thing was never even put on a dyno here in at the PDC" |

The engines for the North American bikes are being made in KC. The quoted MoCo employee is wrong in that regard. Bikes for other markets are being produced at the Harley Davidson plant in India which now has full mfg capabilities. |

WHERE IS IT MADE? |

"All Street 750s and Street 500s for US and Canadian consumption will be built in the Harley-Davidson Vehicle and Powertrain Operations plant in Kansas City, Missouri, where there is a manufacturing line dedicated to producing the liquid-cooled Revolution X engine, a new 60-degree V-twin featuring chain-driven single overhead camshafts." Now, how much manufacturing takes place on that dedicated manufacturing line, I don't know. They do refer to it as a "manufacturing" line and not an "assembly" line, though. Semantics? Maybe. But I'd be surprised if the foreign content were that much more than your typical H-D motorcycle. |

It will be interesting to see how the 750 runs. If it is tryly $7500, that will be interesting around the price of Yamahas and triumphs. .. |

It will interesting to see how the 750 feels and runs. If it is truly $ 7500, it is the ball park of the triumphs and yamahas.... |

"The engines for the North American bikes are being made in KC. The quoted MoCo employee is wrong in that regard." Which begs the question how much HE WAS RIGHT ABOUT - I don't go in with rose colored glasses, but I don't blindly accept his statements because of what else he was obviously wrong about. |

"If it is tryly $7500, that will be interesting around the price of Yamahas and triumphs. .." "Redline for both engines is 8,000 rpm, and peak power for the 750, though not officially announced, was said by one Harley rep to be 54 hp at 7,500 rpm, with 44 pound-feet of peak torque arriving at an unspecified rpm." That sounds pretty reasonable. It is an oversquare engine though not as much as the Bonneville. It gives up quite a bit of displacement to the overquare Bonneville and undersquare Bolt. So, it would be hard-pressed to match the power of the Bonneville or the torque of the Bolt. Characterwise, I'm betting it is more similar to the Bonneville than the Bolt or 883 given its bore and stroke dimensions and peak power rpm, but that's just a guess. |

Might be a good aftermarket play for this bike. I smell cams, pistons, EFI mods and such. |

"Lucky to put out 50 HP" My Dyna super glide sport, with 88" of thumping Milwaukee power, dynoed at 56 RWHP. At half the weight, that 750 might be a good deal

Yeah but the torque of your Dyna would fold the 750 in half. |
