Well my brother is taking his time and then some on the wiring but it is coming along.
Here is the retina burning Baja Designs healdight.
and the SV650 tail.
I don't have any of the turn signals on yet.
I fixed the leaky clutch cover with a new clutch cover so all is well there. I also filled up the Radiator. I wish my excitement to finish this NOW would rub off on my brother. Oh well. It's supposed to be chilly this weekend so I missed this season anyway.
It's sort of done-ish. Obviously not paint and powdercoat but the fabrication, wiring, plumbing, etc. is all done. El fin! I spent the day double checking everything! Tomorrow, my brother is bringing a second set of eyes to double check all the wiring on the bike. So maybe at this time tomorrow I will be uploading a video of the bike running. Fingers crossed ladies.
You need to fabricate a couple of beer steins out of some old Yamalube cans now, to toast this beast's birth!
When the time comes, you have an open invite to stay at my shack in Mur-vil... the day will come when all the Dragon posers should be schooled on COOL.
Here is a GoPro vid from today. I'll just not even try the embed thing. I've read every thread asking how to do it on this site and it still never works for me.
So far I am very pleased with how well the bike rides straight out of the box. It feels like a proper motorcycle and not a backyard special
Nice work mate, now we all want a vid with the camera mounted on the tail so we can really hear those pipes crackling & wailing without the wind noise.
Yeah, I got to ride one of his bikes, it was a very cool.
If you happen to visit him please give me a call, I would love to go back down there. He also let us (Mick & I) know that if we were in the area to call him and we'd all hook up and go riding.
Mr Pouty grumpy pants. I swear GoPro advertisement videos have some slick editing to remove the wind noise. I don't know how else they can do it. But yes, I will do that next time!
