Fun video! I've always been intrigued by the Rokon, seems like a heap o' fun! My old mechanic knew about them, said you could fill the tires with air or liquids such as gas or diesel... if they had air, the whole bike would float, and you could use it like a raft. He said that once upon a time he knew folks who did that to get to/from an island out on a lake where they grew a special crop... If I could find one for good $$$, I'd certainly be interested. |

you could fill the wheels. I had one of the originals from the 50's if my memory serves me. I put it on EBAY and sold it. The guy flew up from Florida and we put it in the back seat of his rental car. He did a couple of customer calls in Ohio and headed back to Fla. with it. My wife still has a few of the Emails from a guy who said he was the man in all the old flyers I had. Wish I would have kept it but I had no time to get it up an running. |

Mark- what was it like to ride one of those things? IIRC they had a centrifugal clutch, everything designed to do some serious stump-jumping! Seems right down your alley, what with all the Jeepin' you do nowadays! |

I never got it to run. I bought it off a guy I had done some work for. He owned a body shop and just had it sitting outside rusting away. After a few attempts he finally sold it to me. Like many bikes I have had in the stable... I wish I still had that one. |

Always wanted one of these! A true testament to "of it ain't broke, don't fix it" engineering. Best part of that video is that it reminds me of why I loved being a Buell rider, meeting up with a group of people and spending the day bullshitting, sometimes not even riding. |

That does it. I gotta acquire another Buell, not an EBR, not just yet... gotta have more $$$ for that. I want an S3T first, then a XB12XT or better yet, an XB12XP... A Rokon would be great fun though! |

I love the scene where the rider falls downhill, out of view, and the other guys keep on riding. |
