Like the kids at Lamont High . . they know but one cheer.
The battle cry of the ill-informed . . "but look at my 401K". They fail to realize that If I borrowed $500,000 in YOUR name and put it in your account . . that your account would, indeed, nominally rise. Mine are hovering just over 29% YTD.
That ignores the effects of the average household having $3,000 less per year in income and the fact that gas, and other consumer "necessaries" have more than doubled under the o's rein.
There have been more months of >8% unemployment than there have been under that past 20 Presidents combined.
I enjoy, when at work and school, asking the liberal folks (we have plenty at Columbia including 2 who have the big guys grades) to name one, just one, thing that the Pres has done.
Then hem . .haw . . shuffle their feet . . tell me how great it is that we've elected a black President (I can think of at least 8 blacks in politics I'd vote for in a heartbeat) . . . that he's handicapped by race and the hole Bush put him in to start.
They're similarly silent when asked the difference between the wars Bush started and the number (hint: it's larger) that "Obama started".
Yep . . you got it . . "well my 401K . . . . . . ."
It boils down to whether individual Americans looking within themselves and determining whether they possess a shred of dignity and integrity after being lied to. Loyal Republicans woke up and cast off Nixon. I woke up to Clinton and his lies. Will you finally wake up to what Obama is? The truth is staring at you. The truth is screaming at you. What are you made of, I guess, is the question?
I said some time ago that this mess would be entertaining if we did not have to participate.
The latest antics in Washington remind me of the Benny Hill re-runs we watched as teenagers, I am left with one question. How long are we the people going to let this go on
when the aca debacle started my employer provided me insurance which was part of my "compensation" at no cost to me,
over the course of the following three years, after the aca became law, the cost to insure the companies' employees went up 90%, ( this figure straight from the owners mouths ) the plan was closed and we all lost our coverage, the book keeper and I because of "pre-existing" conditions wound up in the state pool,
At this point health insurance consumes about 8.5% of my income. I was given a raise which raised my taxes, to help pay for this so its a net loss from my point of view. [ the loss of benefits vs price is another rant. ]
Fast forward to now Oct 10 my self and likely any number of other folks in NC were sent a notice that our coverage terminates 12/31/13 and into the aca market we go,
i got to keep my plan "period", really ?
well the variations from the "exchange" all NC plans must be BCBS afilliates I have been told,
BCBS is all that comes up on the exchange, supposedly by the order of governor McCrory, ( in stunned silence i admit i voted for him as he was the republican candidate ) I hope that this is not permanent,
The benefits provided follow the costs to the consumer, at my income level 202$ per month gets no prescrip, and 17K deductable, with undoubtedly a whole raft of not includeds, or co, or partial coverages,
the other end has similar deductible and prescrip to what I have in the state pool for about 60 to 100$ more a month.
pool insurance is not so good...
this is not supposition but fact, I want an obama or democratic supporter, to explain how this has benefited me?
when the doctors all go to payment at time of service, and no insurance is accepted then what? Try getting a doctor to see you in say HOPE AR, been there done that, never saw my money from BCBS.
to mr obama, You are not making me a dependent you ARE making me ANGRY, come next cycle [14, or 16] you are out either way, with any luck there will be a major purge of the democratic stool in Washington in 14, with the accompanying impeachment, charges and removal of obama and biden.
The republicans will have one last chance to "fix it"
what a wonderful way to air out the house its 2:00 am and I woke up to screaming alarms and a house full of smoke and stentch,
My fire place damper seems to have unlocked itself, and the new box of fire logs smell and smoke like #6 fuel oil was used in the binder, ( they go back tomorrow )
I wonder if the "logs" came from china, good night and good luck with the insurance
The republicans will have one last chance to "fix it"
NO ONE can fix a damn thing in this country until we true the vote. The concept of duly-elected leadership is great, but if the elections are rigged, it's all smoke, mirrors, and Kabuki theater.
Not surprisingly, the organization True the Vote was spectacularly oppressed by the IRS for the past three years: The LAST thing the bad guys want is an HONEST vote in this country, particularly when it comes to who gets to stink up the White House. There were 121,745,125 votes cast for president last November. The Big 0 "won" his second term with a 0.3% margin of victory.
Nope, not much, but just enough. (Reminds me of the margin of "victory" in the Allen West/Patrick Murphy congressional race down in Florida. In fact, I recall the number was exactly the same: 0.3%. I very much doubt this is a coincidence...)
I'm off to the polls here in a bit: We've got a new Governor, Lt. Gov, AG and Delegates to elect today. I'm voting for the GOOD guys.
I hope my frikkin' vote actually matters.
Back on topic: Professor Jacobson from Cornell Law School wrote these words in June 2009. Savvy guy:
quote:
The only way the Obama administration and Democrats can force through the types of changes they envision for the health care system is through deception and tyranny. Honesty and freedom have no place in a system of national health care.
I am reminded of when Linda Douglass who established the . . . hotline for reporting folks who were speeding lies about Obamacare.
quote:
The White House followed up with a subtle invitation for loyal citizens to report when they receive an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy to the official e-mail address flag@whitehouse.gov.
Sad fact is . . the President is a liar and a significant number of the American people are gullible and uninformed about both finances and healthcare.
The mere idea that the government can manage 1/6th of the U.S. economy is akin to a friction' knock-knock joke it's so stupid.
If you want to see what a trip to the emergency room is going to be like in 2 years . . . head down to DMV and see how government manages even the most simple and mundane tasks.
If you want to see what a trip to the emergency room is going to be like in 2 years . . . head down to DMV and see how government manages even the most simple and mundane tasks.
After a three hour wait, you finally get to the front of the line and are told that people with broken legs should be standing in that line over there...
NO ONE can fix a damn thing in this country until we true the vote. The concept of duly-elected leadership is great, but if the elections are rigged, it's all smoke, mirrors, and Kabuki theater.
agree, where are the house hearings on this subject??
Why? Because it's easier to get away with a little "mostly under the public radar" vote fraud (especially with the help of a compliant media) than it is to get away with "IN YOUR FRIKKIN' FACE, PEONS!" vote fraud.
if its ever proven that large scale tampering is common, by either party
then the time for discourse is over and a call to action is required punishing the defrauders in the most brutal way.
Who would/could prove this? The media?? Andrew Breitbart's untimely demise was, among other things, a clear message to the media: Don't fly too close to the sun.
The DOJ? Yeah, dumb question.
We already control term limits, no need for new laws.
How long can a Senator be a Senator? If Congress is corrupt (and mostly it is), who else is there, in our form of government, to try and keep the President honest?
if its ever proven that large scale tampering is common...
It doesn't necessarily have to be large scale, amigo. 0bama "won" his second term by a 0.3% margin.
How easy would it be, in this day of electronic voting, to cook the books enough to skew 0.3% of 122,000,000 votes?
Do you remember all the stories flooding the alternate media on Election Day last November of voting "irregularities" taking place nationwide? I posted some of the more egregious ones up on this very the President Zero thread.
How long can a Senator be a Senator? till we vote him out, he quits or is removed.
some fun facts...
.3% of 122mil [ 0.003 * 122,000,000 ] >>>> is 366,000 kinda hard to conceal

The total numbers around these cities are probably double what I show, I found an error in my original math that tends to support your assertion, divide that number up by several cities and it becomes realistic to see it as potential fraud.
not every one votes, no photo id required, do it in a big city where the poll workers are less likely to know many of the locals
The number is actually 400,000 give or take (his combined margin of victory in the swing states of Florida, Virginia, Ohio and Colorado). Yeah, my 0.3% should read about 0.32% or so.
And 400,000 votes didn't need to be "concealed," they just needed to go to the correct candidate. Easy-peasy in this day of electronics and high-level corruption.
Put another way: I voted this morning, on an electronic machine. I did NOT get a paper "receipt" proving who I voted for (although I felt like asking for one). How do I KNOW my e-vote actually went to the candidate I voted for?
How do I KNOW?
Let me run at you from a different angle. 0bama lies all the time; it's all he does, actually (well, to be fair, he plays golf, too). He knows we know he's lying, but does he seem to care?
Same with the vote, IMO. He didn't need to skew much of the vote to "win" last November, just enough. He has no cares about us catching on; a lot of us already have, but there's damn little we can do about it, and his media minions make sure the LoFo's stay sufficently pacified.
Let me run at you from another direction: Do you think the man who left our Navy SEALs to die on the rooftop of our annex in Benghazi, went to bed, and then humped to Los Vegas in AF1 to party with his homies the next day, the guy who LIED to us, over and over and over, about some frikkin' video being to blame, do you think this man would have ANY qualms about stealing an election? Yeah, me either.
I could go on, but I'm still at w*rk and I've got someone's health insurance to subsidize.
Think about ALL the crap this guy has pulled on America since January of 2009, and ESPECIALLY since January of 2013, and ask yourself: If he could, would he steal an election to become President? If he could, would he steal an election to remain President?
Past voter fraud by ACORN didn't make any waves on NBC. Now the same group is under multiple different names to evade the "don't give federal money to ACORN" bill passed after the fraud from the 2008 & 2010 election, in 2011.
Spread out among the right states, just the traditional method of driving a van around full of "street people" from district to district is enough to win the last couple of Presidential elections.
Was 2008, in fact, an election stolen? I don't know for sure, and since there is no chance it will ever be investigated, I leave it to the Kennedy Assassination crowd.
It IS known now that Obama was not a legal candidate in at least one state in 2008. The number of fake signatures on the Primary petition made his candidacy illegal. Hillary also had many fake signatures, but enough real ones to qualify...... so perhaps it is true that Obama stole the job from Clinton.
The only way to combat this kind of thing is to vote and persuade others who are disgusted with politics to vote too. It's obvious from the polls that normal, actual citizens that sit it out let bad guys win elections. The number of disgruntled folk giving up vastly outnumbers the fraudulent vote........ so far.
And for those who can't be bothered to read the bill ( candidates platform ) before they pass it ( vote ) My suggestion is simply vote against the guy who is endorsed by the Communist or Socialist Parties. Like Obama.
The couple Lee, 60, and JoEllen, 59 have been paying $550 a month for their health coverage a plan that offers solid coverage, not one of the skimpy plans Obama has criticized. But recently, Kaiser informed them the plan would be canceled at the end of the year because it did not meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. The couple would need to find another one. The cost would be around double what they pay now, but the benefits would be worse. ... I tried to find flaws in what Hammack told me. I couldnt find any.
* The couples existing Kaiser plan was a good one. * Their new options were indeed more expensive, and the benefits didnt seem any better. * They do not qualify for premium subsidies because they make more than four times the federal poverty level, though Hammack says not by much. ... Our first reaction was clearly theres got to be some mistake. This was before the exchanges opened up. We quickly calmed down. We were confident that this would all be straightened out. But it wasnt.
I asked Hammack to send me details of his current plan. It carried a $4,000 deductible per person, a $40 copay for doctor visits, a $150 emergency room visit fee and 30 percent coinsurance for hospital stays after the deductible. The out-of-pocket maximum was $5,600.
This plan was ending, Kaisers letters told them, because it did not meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act. Everything is taken care of, the letters said. Theres nothing you need to do.
The letters said the couple would be enrolled in new Kaiser plans that would cost nearly $1,300 for the two of them (more than $15,000 a year).
And for that higher amount, what would they get? A higher deductible ($4,500), a higher out-of-pocket maximum ($6,350), higher hospital costs (40 percent of the cost) and possibly higher costs for doctor visits and drugs. ... What is going on here? Kaiser isnt a bad apple insurer and this plan wasnt cut rate. It seems like this is a lose-lose for the Hammacks (and a friend featured in a report last month by the public radio station KQED.) ... Kaiser has canceled about 160,000 policies in California, and about one third of people were in plans like Hammacks, Stenrud said. About 30,000 to 35,000 were in his specific plan.
In a few cases, we are able to find coverage for them that is less expensive, but in most cases, were not because, in sort of pure economic terms, they are people who benefited from the current system ... Now that the market rules are changing, there will be different people who benefit and different people who dont. ... So what is Hammack going to do? If his income were to fall below four times the federal poverty level, or about $62,000 for a family of two, he would qualify for subsidies that could lower his premium cost to as low as zero. If he makes even one dollar more, he gets nothing.
Thats what hes leaning toward lowering his salary or shifting more money toward a retirement account and applying for a subsidy.
Were not changing our views because of this situation, but it hurt to hear Obama saying, just the other day, that if our plan has been dropped its because it wasnt any good, and our costs would go up only slightly, he said. Were gratified that the press is on the case, but frustrated that the stewards of the ACA dont seem to have heard.
Yep, it's easier to not work as hard to get free shit from the government. It's denied that this happens constantly around here (at least when the Obama apologists are willing to contribute), but it's clear that it is happening. This is not good for our country at all.

>>>>higher hospital costs (40 percent of the cost)
If you haven't been in a hospital lately , . . that "40%" may not mean much.
I was in recently for an emergency. . . . I was into the ER at 3:00am and into the OR at 1:00 the following morning and out that afternoon.
My bill for JUST the hospital (there was another $60K+ for "folks", OR, ER and so forth) was $28,000+ . . . that 40% would therefore require me to pay about $11,200.
If you aren't screaming and writing to someone about this . . . . you may as well be stuffing steel wool up your ass . . . it'll seem fun in comparison to what you are about to be subjected to.

End of September I went into the hospital in the morning. Had a minor surgical procedure by evening. Discharged about 11:00 PM. The bill topped $30K.
The insurance I'm seeing pushed in this plan has deductibles that will break many families. They would likely do just as well not having insurance and using the premium cash to take care of the minor stuff. The big stuff will bankrupt many folks with or without the insurance. I'm glad that, like Court, I can afford to take care of my own. Too many people will be finding out just how bad this "affordable health care" really is in the next few years.
President Obama Cuts Special Tax Deal For Unions NC Meanwhile The IRS Will Hunt You For Non-Compliance By Sundance, Nov 7, 2013
If you actually look back to the "origin" of Obamacare, the very beginning, as in "why the entire construct of the 2009/2010 Healthcare take over" actually began, you will find one very specific group, labor unions.
It started way back before Senator Obama even began campaigning for the presidency.
Back in 2006/2007 when SEIU President Andy Stern told all the affiliated SEIU organizations, around the Purple Machine, their unsustainable pension/benefit plans were financially dependent on something happening to remove them from the liability of providing healthcare for their retirees.
It was from that BIG PROBLEM the nucleus and architecture of Obamacare was born.
Candidate Obama struck a deal with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) to give them what they needed if they went "all in" with their financial support for him in the '08 election.
The fact that 0bama lied to America, yet again, is already old news (what difference, at this point, does it make?), but this is still rather entertaining, in a depressing, "This is your country on Dictator. Any questions?" sort of way:
quote:
36 Times Obama Said You Could Keep Your Health Care Plan WashingtonFreeBeacon Published on Nov 5, 2013
President 0bama had pledged publicly at least 36 times that his health care plan, known as 0bamacare, would not force people who liked their current coverage to lose it before "tweaking" that promise Nov. 4.
You know, it really takes a special kind of stupid to stand in front of Congress explaining how the system that asks you to give your name, address, and SS# to a person who may very well be a convicted felon, is a secure system. Just sayin'.
