I don't know but if there subs are as good as there quads all we need is an M-80 taped to a sinker to knock em out. Also I'll bet we can hit the shitter in the Chinese capital Parliament or whatever you call it with about 500 mega tons of go juice with any drunken hung over PFC so they might want to keep that shyt in mind as well. |

“Because the Midwest states of the U.S. are sparsely populated, in order to increase the lethality, [our] nuclear attacks should mainly target the key cities on the West Coast of the United States, such as Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego,” the Global Times said. “The 12 JL-2 nuclear warheads carried by one single Type 094 SSBN can kill and wound 5 million to 12 million Americans,” the Global Times reported. I find it somewhat disturbing that they specifically mention it's lethality in respect to US citizens and it's range. |

I don't fear Chinese subs. If, as the article states, they are patterned after the Soviet sub fleet, then they are more dangerous to their crew than to the USA. By the way, I used to work for SubRon Six, Fourteen, Sixteen. Carry on |

How much of this is for domestic consumption, ( we can kick their butts ) and how much an exploration of reaction from the US? While the Peoples Army Navy of China may have out dated Russian designs, the electronics should be good, and their work on the "Carrier Killer" IRBM design looks decent. They'll be building stealth planes, and selling them, unlike us. After the multi-trillion dollar tech upgrade we just gave China, I wouldn't count on the old stuff being what they have. http://www.janes.com/article/24901/details-emerge- on-chinese-type-032-submarine And from April http://www.janes.com/article/12213/china-yet-to-de ploy-df-41-and-jl-2 |

Golly, if they did that California would no longer be a liberal state. Hmmm... G |

Blake, not sure about that. I wouldn't want another cold war with Obama at the helm. |

Why? I mean why would they? The US is hardly likely to invade China. If the Chinese bomb the US they ain't never gonna get paid! (it's doubtful already but that's another question) Seems to me to be an indirect message to the world in general, "Stay out of my back yard." Also possibly a warning shot preparatory to taking over Taiwan. I can't see it really happening at the moment though, the Chinese have too much interest in maintaining the status quo (cue rock'n'roll joke here) as it is. Next question, if everybody is looking at this issue & jumping up & down, what's going on behind your backs? |

you still believe that our printed currency that they would want to be paid in ? There are already nearly 300 sovereign Chinese entities on US soil. Boise Idaho being the biggest and most prominent. 50 sq miles next to the airport. seek and ye shall find. they will not have to 'invade' - they are already here. ps the low information voter is of little resistance when the food, water, energy, transportation choke points and cell phones are done.... with 'just in time' shipping and resupply - you could cripple the nation in less than a month. |

Just in time! Or Lean Manufacturing which means "we don't have that part to run the assembly line"! My company had parts enroute on the FedEx truck, FedEx acknowledged that said parts were on that truck, then suddenly said parts were lost "in the cloud somewhere"!!!!! What? Every week we deal with this! And yes, we have Oracle, we pay Oracle for licensing and upgrades, but we don't utilize Oracle because we, the "company", thought the integration price was exorbitant (which it is), and instead insisted that our engineering staff could do it. They, of course, already wear several hats and, as we all know, engineers are extremely serial in their approach to problem solving. Cognitive, with engineers, always works in the serial approach. So, Oracle is on the premises but, Oracle isn't used! That's my experience. And now, back to my regularly scheduled programming... |

my reply is to avoid any thing made in china. they seemed to miss the point that our nuclear capability is at least on par with theirs, we each have enough weapons to render the globe uninhabitable, and we can also render China inert militarily so who wins ? sad... |
