So it has been 2 years since my back injury and I had to sell the XB... in the next few days I may have my replacement bike... I have had my eye on Nightrod Specials for a long time now, and a local dealer (capitol City HD) had a used 2009 NRS that they graciously let me take for an extended test drive... basically said it had 3/4 tank and they closed at 5 (it was noon) just to be back 1/2 hour before they closed.. AWESOME! so I was able to take the bike on the highway, through city streets I even took it through MSU campus to see how slow riding was... rode it for 2 hours... even had to put more gas in the tank... NOT one problem with my legs or back. So I found a 2008 NRS locally for a kick butt price. If all goes well maybe this weekend I will have a new bike to ride the last available weeks we have left this season.. I will get photos up if I get it | ||

Here she is... Well the 2008 ended up falling through.. so this 2009 I had looked at a month ago, and I thought it sold.. guess what it didn't. So I bought it.. it has a V&H 2 to 1 Comp exhaust, Pro Comp V&H tuner, K&N filter (gonna convert it to topless shortly), custom gloss paint (used to be flat black), LED turn signals, rides like a dream, pulls like crazy... think I am gonna have many miles on this with no back issues. I have put 400 miles on it already and not one thing on my body complaining yet.. sad that the Buell hurt my back so much.. who knows in a couple years (when the NRS is paid off) maybe I will pick up a tuber for cheap just to ride every now and then   | ||

it needs a couple things... but for now it just needs to be good to me and I will mod it over the next few years... | ||

Higher exhaust, rearsets, smaller radiator, bring the forks in 3 degrees, better shocks, - lighten up - ditch excess - then let the rest fly! EZ |
