If you live in the USA I am sure you have heard about the floods in Colorado. I know we have bad webbers in the area, and I am sure many of us have family or friends there to, I know I do. If you can in any way help this fund raiser to help those folks, please do. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Floodstock-2013-Rel ief-Benefit/1418297505050728 Thank you in advance. |

Thanks for thinking of us colorado badwebbers, michael. The flooding and the aftermath have been devastating for so many. In our immediate area, we flat out got lucky, but just up the road, people are stranded with no easy way out because the roads washed away. Some places got a years rainfall over the course of several hours. Houses washed away, sewer systems failed, water is contaminated, houses that are standing are growing moldy and being condemned. Mr. Twisty works in weld county and had some challenges finding passable roads to get home last Friday and Saturday. But he was way more fortunate than his coworkers that were unable to get home last Friday when the river crested, or worse, had no home to go to. It has been a stressful time for us all, but the determined spirit of coloradans has been amazing. People are pulling together to help each other out. The rebuild effort seems to be appropriately aggressive and impressive. One example is u.s. 34. Despite over 80 percent of this canyon road between loveland and estes park being destroyed, it is expected to be passable in december. It would be great to hear from zac in longmont and jeff in rist canyon. Those were two affected areas and both have been in our thoughts this week. The flood survivors are appreciative of any thing you are able to contribute. Thank you. B. |

My Colorado peeps are in Bayfield and Durango, so thankfully they are all OK. Thoughts and prayers for the rest of you in the affected areas! |
