Well i have been trying different tires out to see what works and is pretty inexpensive. I have tried Michelin, shinko, full bore usa, and dunlops. So far the michelin wore out the fastest at 2400 miles but they also were the cheapest at $60 each. The Shinkos were garbage and started shedding the nobbies at 350 miles and i ended up in a lawsuit against shinko tires USA for 6 months. I won that suit in small claims and they had to refund the tires completely and the labor to install and balance the new tires. dunlops were ok but kind of a hard rubber but the worked. Then i heard about these Full bore usa tires on the dual-sport forums and thought i would give em a shot. Well that turned out to be a bad decision on my part. I use my dual-sport to commute in good and bad weather. Well these tire are super dangerous in the rain and do not grip well at all! I have had problems in very light and very heavy rain! The tire will slide all over at 15 mph and below! And don't hit any street paint or your going down. These tire are so slippery i was scared to ride in even a little moisture on the road. So just a **warning about this brand of tire FULL BORE USA** I will not buy this brand or use this brand or recommended this brand! Stay away from these tires! I e-mailed the company about there tires and they just gave a condescending response saying maybe you hit a slick spot! I like how they stated the tires are of U.S. origin. Well i can read tire codes and these tires are apparently made in Korea and in a Japanese mold and then sold here under the guise they are American tires i would have never bought these if i knew they were from Korea. I like to support American tires if i can but i also don't mind Michelin's french tires. But at least i know where they come from and don't make up marketing slogans claiming made in America! |

Never heard of them. Tires and brakes are the two places I'll gladly pay for piece of mind on. What dual sport? What size tires? |

I have a set of full bores on the blast and one on the front of the s1. I have zero complaints about them. I didn't expect a lot out for them, but they exceeded my expectations. Late in the riding season one year the rear tire on the xb was getting low and it wasn't going to make it through the season. With the blast down I switched it with the xb. I was very happy. They worked very well, 10 times better than the Dunlop that came originally on the bike. Maybe you got a bad tire but I would recommend them. Not as a great tire but a good cheap tire. Matt |

Bought a Full Bore when the OEM rear on the XB12XT wore through on a road trip. Nice shop, decent price, they let me use their lift to pull the wheel, stayed open a little late when I phoned to say I was coming, etc. The Full Bore rode OK, but lasted exactly 2400 miles. Total crap. Worst ever. saxman |
