A current thread brings up an interesting subject. How far back does your moto library go? Mine goes back to 1993. I was 16 at the time and interested in motorcycles for as long as I could remember. The wife occasionally asks why I keep the old crap. It's nice to go down memory lane every now and then. This one really got it started: My mother regretted sending me that magazine a few years later |

Nice, Rick. I moved way too many times to be able to hold onto my old stuff. I have had to learn to let go, which is hard for someone who is by nature a pack rat. |

Mine goes back to the late 1950's when I started to ride. I have a complete set of Cycle World Road Test annuals from the very first one, and The English Motorcycle Sports Model Road Tests, Series One and Two, (1962). Fun reading. It is amazing to see how slow some of the famous speed demons of the past really were. Featured bikes were the Triumph T120, the Vincent Black Shadow and the Velocette Venom.

I've got several boxes of moto mags that go back to the early 80's... and I never threw away those things. There's a neat coffee shop in Knoxville called The Time Warp Café, whose owner is a vintage motorcycle buff- I've been wanting to take all those magazines to him, free up some storage space in my shed. |

That's cos y'are! I've still got boxes of Hot-rod & Custom Car magazines going back to the '70s that my wife keeps wanting me to throw out, but I'm keeping them for an emergency in case I get laid up & need something other to pass the time. |

On our last move I went through all my magazines and discarded those that I had no use for. There was a couple stacks of random stuff. The wife seemed very pleased, but I think was hoping for more. |
