BTW sen Reid, retrying zim for the offense is double jeopardy. iirc They are claiming that it isn't double jeopardy, being that he hasn't been charged under civil rights violation laws. Being a federal thing, not a state thing may play into that to, I'm not sure. Why is Reid even involved in this. This trial has been a joke of left wing antics from before it began with the Black Panthers putting a price on George's head to our childish and racist President stating that if he had a son, he would have looked like Trayvon, to the State of Florida that fired the State Attorney for not filing charges and the City of Sanford for firing the Chief for not arresting Trayvon. They didn't step down on their own. The left is foolish and destructive. And there are no bigger racists in the planet, than the the political left. But why can't people seek to understand the law first and protest last? We have some very dishonorable people living in our country. | ||

A sad state of affairs, the link for federal action for zim is not working. Should it matter, zim was aquitted by a jury what civil right did zim violate? so zim has no right to protect himself? The federal process if persued agains zim is double jeopardy IMO, he was tried once in the matter, any further trials of a criminal nature are DJ, The martins may have a basis for wrongful death of their son, that will be interesting, because all of the MUCK that the procecutor hid will likley come out, Drug use, violence, various problems that the martins had with travon. I don't see that being a shoe in either, might be interesting if the martins loose it I hope that they proceed with it, and the truth about this "child" comes out. midterms are coming vote the dems out, Impeach obama AND biden, remove his appointees, investigate them all and start jailing the crooked ******** *********** while we are at it lets check on "rev al" I bet there is some dirt to be found. I just about shit a brick when I heard that they now, that they lost the murder trial, want to bring him up on Federal charges? The same DOJ that provided money and protesters to further the cause? How could he get anything but an unfair trial? If he was cleared in murder by a jury of his peers, how he could have violated anyone's civil rights. Especially since he has black family members, petitioned for a black person who was abused by a white police officer AND is hispanic. Now, after a fair trial with crooked Judge & crooked Prosecutor results in not guilty of Murder, ( absurd, political ) OR Manslaughter, ( possible, unlikely ) The President Of The United States has stated his intention to milk this to destroy the Constitution by using hate and fear. He's going to milk this, because the "zimmerman trial" has been a godsend to him, as no one has been talking about Obama's support for murderous, rapine, terrorist deposed dictators in Egypt, or Obama's support for cannibal, murderous, terrorists in Syria, possible with WMD's in the form of captured poison gas. ( captured from the Syrian government, which recieved large stocks from Iraq before the Previous Prez. freed the country from THAT terrorist supporting dictator ) Not to mention ( because people are not, too busy with Trayvon! ) the NSA scandal, the Fox scandal, the Snowden scandal, the Eurozone NSA scandal, the IRS intimidation scandal, the Attorney General's repeated perjuries, the President's Executive Ownership of the hundreds of murdered Mexican's & Americans HE is responsible for in Fast & Furious, and.... and..... and.... Pretty good information is known that gives you the ability to piece it together quite well. From early depositions we know that Travon said he wasn't going to run from Zimmerman, but rather was going to confront him. From Zimmerman's 911 calls we know he broke off his following of Travon and was working out with the police exactly where to meet the responding officer. From court testimony we know that Travon had time to get to his house if he had gone in that direction. We also learned that the final altercation was much nearer Zimmerman's car than Travon's house. This all fits with Zimmerman's accounting of the events. Basically, had Travon run toward his home, he would have made it there safely, unless Zimmerman could have run faster. Had he been heading toward home, the final altercation would never have happened so near Zimmerman's car though. In fact, had Travon walked any direction, he would have been farther from Zimmerman's car. This is physical evidence that Travon either made no attempt to get away at all (this conflicts with Zimmerman's 911 call and testimony), or Travon came back to that area. The second part of that backs up the deposition of the girl friend stating that Travon was going back to confront the guy, despite her pleading with him to run away. We also know that Zimmerman had at one point stopped chasing Travon. We know that Zimmerman was working out exactly where to meet the responding officer. About the only jump in logic we have to make is who initiated the violence. Was it the one who was working with the police for a meeting point, or, was it the one who told his girl friend that he wasn't going to run, but rather confront the person who had been chasing him? So really, what is the most likely scenario? Let's put this another way, given all of the above, had Zimmerman not killed Travon, would all of the above be enough to convict Travon of assault, beyond a reasonable doubt? | ||

Sure, Trayvon assaulted George. That's pretty well established. It's possible in a bizzaro world that George chased down Trayvon, hauled him back to his car, and then dove backwards into the ground while clutching Trayvon's hands and beating himself with Trayvon's fists to gather physical evidence for assault while the whole thing was a setup to allow a racist white guy to murder an innocent black youth. Except of course for the near impossibility to do such a thing, the fact that George isn't white, isn't racist, and isn't strong enough to yank Trayvon's fists into his own face hard enough to do such damage against Trayvon's will..... Unless George is really an alien mind controlling creature from the 7th dimension whose vast mental powers somehow were able to get a human to attack him, then hold still while he shot him, but NOT to convince the President to give him the keys to the nuclear launch codes so he could irradiate the 8th dimension, or convince Rev. Sharpton to not make money on this, or Eric Holder not to pay taxpayer dollars for paid protesters, or the Judge to be fair, or ............. I can get more ridiculous, but I'm not even close to the level of insanity shown by the Prosecutor, the President, the Attorney General, or most of CNN.  I stand by my statement, I don't know what happened in the critical moments when no one except the assault victim, George Zimmerman, had (witnessed) the initial physical confrontation. The Jury, hearing far more than I have, declared George not guilty. I have zero issues with that, since it sure as heck looked like self defense to me, the police, and most sane people. My point is that the full weight of a racist, leftist, administration is using this poor guy to distract everyone from the criminal incompetence/subversive agenda/criminal fraud of the President and his minions. That's Cracker. Not trying to be picky, but slurred ethnic slurs can be confusing, insulting, and tend to indicate a person that never learned to red cursive, or understand the concept of "oath". Most "ethnic slurs" are labels applied to people we want to be ok to treat as not-human. In war, "gook" "fritz" "charlie" "raghead" etc. help to dehumanize the enemy and make it less traumatic to kill them. ( usually clearing one village after "Charlie" has been though and finding the tiny, desecrated corpses is enough to ease the guilt, ask any Vet. ) Domestically, ( U.S.A. specific ) "the N-Word" ( registered trademark KKK ) was intended to dehumanize those the slave owners wanted to exploit. Often "wog" "Barbarian" "Yankee" etc. was used to indicate the natives of lands the "dominant culture" was visiting, invading, exploiting or exploring. This practice goes back to ancient Greece. Zimmerman started the anti-defamation suit against NBC last December but was stayed pending the outcome of the criminal trial.
