This has to be great for Racing. A company with F1 racing history getting into motorcycle must be a sign that they feel they can do something better then AUDI Ducati |

We will see if they do better than Ilmor they lasted what 3 races and were so successful that it isn't mentioned on their website. |

F1 designers haven't exactly had a perfect record in 2-wheel design. Maybe it's just a licensing deal? |

Googling: Motorcycle USA Holzer (design/fab group) http://danielsimon.com/ (Daniel Simon - "Designer" (stretching that title a bit) |

It isn't being built by Lotus, but by Holzer...who also have no experience with anything two wheeled We've seen plenty of these announcements before so I won't hold my breath, especially as ther designer has only really designed film props in the past (tron light cycle for one!). If it happens at all (doubtful) it will be so ridiculously expensive that it won't come into our world anyway. |

One British name comes to mind, "Hesketh". |

At least Hesketh actually built and sold some bikes (and continue to do so under new ownership) even if they were pale imitations of what was originally planned. I knew a guy who bought one and thought it was brilliant, even if it spent most of its life getting fixed by Mick Broom! Lotus haven't produced anything yet except a strange picture of what we are told is a fuel tank. |

Daniel Simon produced the "fuel tank" image. I'm not rushing to the bank to have my credit limit raised. |

Guy I shared a house with had a Hesketh. He spent more time riding my old 250 than his bike 'cause it was always being "fixed". |

MV's engine is a Ferrari design, I believe. |

MV's engine is a Ferrari design, I believe No it isn't. I think they used some ferrari expertise (as have Ducati at times)but all the MV engines have apparently been designed in house by MV. |

From the acticle: "The company has since been passed around from Cagiva to Proton to Husqvarna and finally to Harley-Davidson, which bought it at a fire sale price." No. HD SOLD it at a fire sale price. What was it, one Euro? |
