Certainly nothing like the book. Hardly an adaptation in my opinion. Decent action. Good characters, but there was a lot more to tell. It sort of seemed like they tried to shove the story in and some of the "clues" seemed like they were put in as afterthoughts. Very tense movie though. I enjoyed it. |

WWZ needs to be renamed to "Unbreakable Brad Pitt Saves the World". It was hard getting to believe why Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) was considered to be so damned important to the UN. The movie was OK and apparently WWZ has been green lighted for two more movies. |

I was disappointed as soon as it became (oh so very) obvious that the movie was going to have little to do with the book. But I'm hoping for a fun zombie movie regardless. |

I was kinda bummed too.... but, if they are going to do 2 or three movies and the first one is a prequel to the book then that could work for me |

I guess if you look at the first movie as "The Great Panic" then it really works. Film #2 is the recovery and Film #3 is the fight back? |

I saw it Friday with my Dad. I got the feeling that it was the Great Panic-ish. At the end he said something to the effect that the war was far from over. I was hoping for a Battle of Yonkers showing the ineffectiveness of the military might against the undead. Given that the zombies were fast, it would be a completely different battle. |

I was really hoping for the Battle of Yonkers seen. Had it pictured in my mind from reading the book, but alas, nothing in the movie |

Falling skies is fun as well... if you start with a six pack and low expectations. Not zombies, but they might as well be. |

Falling skies is fun as well... if you start with a six pack and low expectations. ...and if you can get past the giant underground rebel base here in Charleston, SC, where the water table is ~6" below grade for much of the year. I'm still looking for the cliffs along the SC coast seen in an earlier episode too. |

I have considered seeing the zombie romantic comedy, but only on netflix. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1588173/ If I'm going to sit in a theater, If it doesn't have Milla Jovovich back flipping off a motorcycle shooting zombies in mid air, I'm not going. I'm also absolutely not paying $50 to see a movie even if they give me a poster and a ticket for the digital download. although, to be fair, I did pop nearly that much for the Ultimate cut of "Watchmen" when my Directors cut went missing a friends house. He found it 2 days after the box arrived. |

As a denizen of the "north of Yonkers" area, I too was hoping that the scene was in there. This is almost a metaphor for what would happen if the SHTF, and all of a sudden 10 million city dwellers headed north. I think about this on occasion, and what I would do. I will see the movie this weekend. |
