I would love a VR1000 too. I don't care if they tend to blow up! Boston H-D used to have a street-legal VR on display. They had to make it available in order to race in that class.

The P-51 is the most beautiful machine to ever reach for the sun, and the Merlin sound is near a perfect pitch!!!!!!!!!

Q. What's better than the sound of a Merlin? A. The sound of TWO Merlins!!! Enjoy this.

I totally love the Mustang but I've always had a soft spot for the Spitfire. Such clean lines. Both two of the top fighters ever made in the pre-jet area. Plus it has a Merlin!

Those VR1000s do look great! Don't worry about blowing it up, the electrical system has to work for a while before your can stress the engine.

A Spad sexy, I can agree with several different connotations beautiful among them by shot down helicopter crews. But sexy?

Wow, an asymmetrical plane? I've never seen that. Is it from BMW? Those last couple of sets of airplane pictures are amazing, just beautiful!

Oooh a Chance-Vought Corsair, aka "The Bent Wing Bastard from Connecticut" Did you know that the Royal Navy were the first to put them into active service?

That asymmetrical plane is Rutan's Boomerang. I actually worked on that NASA cranked-arrow F16XL For the boundary-layer control experiments.

The '55 is the same car from American Graffiti but it was first in Two Lane Blacktop, and I like it better in primer. More of a sleeper. Matt

Damn Grumpy, that video gave me goose bumps! Those Merlins do sound awesome! I always loved the SR-71 but the sound of a Mustang and that Mosquito is amazing. I always liked the looks of the Corsair too but I understand that landing blind is no fun!
