The roll call vote is very interesting. By my quick count, one (R) voted yea, Toomey from Pa. and 5 (D) voted nay including Harry Reid from NV. NOW, is it their true feeling or are they just protecting their next election. I think the latter. What do you think? Politics over and over again. SAD............Will politicians ever be honest; I think not.
I just contacted both of my senators by e-mail Burr to thank for is wisdom and good judgment in voting no,
and
Hagan expressing my disappointment with her vote on the issue and a comment that perhaps she should consider the lessons of history say the 1930s in Germany.... Also that rights that once are lost, are difficult to restore.
Take a few minutes and contact your senators let them know where you stand with a polite and short note,
Ever notice how easily people who speak truth can communicate? It's the deceivers who cannot find enough obfuscatory words to hide their lies that bleat on endlessly and resort to inane emotional sloganeering.
We're going to suspend your rights to protest, bear arms, privacy, and trial by jury." "Why?" "To protect you from terrorists." "Why do we need to be protected from terrorists?" "They hate you for your freedom."
(gleaned from the "comments" in Aes's link posted directly above)
If open-carry is found to be a constitutional right, then concealed carry licensees who inadvertently expose their firearm cannot be charged with a crime.
Now he should follow up with another about the number of representatives in Congress, representing both parties, who are duel citizens of Marxist-Zionist Israel, and their socialist agenda.

What Geedee doesn't get is that the zionist, etc. etc. is a ploy by the folk who Brought us Libor use to fool us that it's not them that are ripping us off.
It's funny. The Illuminati have nothing to do with it. It's Goldman Sachs.
It's like the guy who spent years trying to convince people that Shakespeare didn't write Romeo & Juliet. It was a different guy, with the same name.
Well, it looks like Fb1 was right.. good grief! The battle was won, but the war rages on..
The latest from GOA..
Gun Owners of America Senator Reid Trying to Resuscitate Gun Registration Help GOA put heat on Senators while they’re home on recess! “Larry Pratt with the Gun Owners of America is effective. I don’t deal with them myself, but the fact is, they are effective.” — F-rated Congressman Peter King (R-NY), April 4, 2013 You guys won a tremendous victory two weeks ago. And the press had all but written off President Obama as having been dealt a major, crushing blow. But now, the Left is relentlessly hammering those Senators who voted right. They are running ads in their states. Their minions are writing letters to the editor. They are using their platform in the media to relentlessly hammer those who voted for freedom. And while all this is happening, look at what the New York Times reported on Thursday: “Talks to revive gun control legislation are quietly under way on Capitol Hill as a bipartisan group of senators seeks a way to bridge the differences that led to last week’s collapse ... to overhaul the country’s gun laws.” This is why we can’t rest on our laurels. We need your assistance in every way imaginable. Plus, we have to stay active, and keep contacting each and every Senator. The message is the same: No gun control! Not one word of gun registration, background checks or infringements. Nothing! Can’t remember how your Senator voted? GOA has posted all the votes on its site. And while you’re the GOA site, please help us with whatever you can to help us stay in this fight. We are so close to winning, but fighting gun control is very expensive. The Hill newspaper told Senators this past Wednesday: "Gun Owners of America, which also vigorously fought the Senate bill, spent more than $313,000 on lobbying this past quarter, an increase over [what] they dropped at this point in 2012." So don’t give up. Please help GOA stay engaged! ACTION: Congress is out of session this week. So please make sure that you visit your Senators when they are home — go to their town hall meetings ... call their local district offices ... write letters to the editor ... do everything you can to make your voice heard. Thank those who voted right. Rebuke those who voted wrong. You can see how your Senators voted over the past two weeks by going here.
"swampy" posted this in another thread.. I thought I would post it here..
"Unless there is a hidden clause, in the in the 2nd Amendment, anyone Advocating or Seeking to Infringe on the 'right to keep and bear arms" is committing an Unconstitutional Act and is thus Guilty of Treason. That includes the NRA, the 3 Branches of Government, the Sandy Hook parents, and all the rest. Every citizen has the right to keep and bear arms, even the mentally ill and criminals. If you want to change that, it requires the 2nd Amendment be rewritten to include, restrictions on types of weapons, who can own them, and what they can be used for, then a 2/3rds vote in Congress and ratification by 3/4ths.(38) states. If you chose not to modify the 2nd Amendment, every law that infringes on the peoples right to keep and bear arms is Unconstitutional. Including Background Checks, The Federal Fire Arms Acts, and CCW Laws."
If you live in a city and you think you need protection of your home, you’re way better off with a shotgun than an assault weapon,” he said. “Trust me. It’s not even close.”
First, "trust me"??? Seriously?
Second, I think Bill is confusing things a bit, but he is right, Girth is important. Size matters.
I've told my buddies never to try to prank me like that show "Scare Tactics". It's not that I'm a deadly James Bond type, it's that my panic reaction might be to hide under a table, but more likely to use the table as a battering ram until the poor stunt guy is hurt.
It's not just a "sheep/sheepdog" thing, it's a conditioned response after more than 20 years of doing stupid stuff. ( after 30 years of doing even dumber stuff )
I scares the hell out of me what our "educators" will think is a good idea. What if someone had grabbed a pair of scissors figuring I might as well go out fighting? I a real scenario, they would almost certainly get killed. In this scenario, they might just find themselves astonished that they managed to kill a gunman with a pair of scissors. What if someone, defying the infringement of our second amendment rights decided to pack a pocket pistol anyway? The simple likely hood of injuries occurring as people dive for cover should be enough to make you second guess this stunt. One more thing, I've never had the pleasure of experiencing multiple gunshots in an enclosed room, but I would expect to have some pretty severe temporary hearing loss, possibly permanent hearing damage. One more thing, again... Should we expect the terror experience by these unsuspecting workers to be any different than that experience by real victims of these sorts of crimes where we hear about long term psychological effects from the incident? I wonder if they organized any of this with local police? This could have gone bad in so many ways.
