Xdigitalx, so, your problem is with belief in "a higher power"? That UN Document, while it has some nice ideas in it, is powerless, and arbitrary, and comes from a government that does not govern, has no responsibility, and would take away any rights it grants as a whim of the bureaucracy. The concept, offensive as it may be to some, is that another man may not take away your "god given" rights. The idea that government cannot give these rights to you, so it cannot take them from you, is central. Sure, Humans wrote this down. Inspired, at least, feel free to squick internally at the phrase "divine inspiration" used by some. While you're at it there are some candy bar ads that hype divinity as a selling point too, Why aren't you mad at Dove Bars? The US Constitution is an unprecedented, and inspired approach to SELF GOVERNANCE. If you are offended that some people believe in invisible things of incredible power that are beyond normal human understanding, suck it up, and grow up. ( I wonder if he's offended by Electricity? ) I think a lot of things a lot of people believe are silly. The ones who believe that they are called upon by their God to kill me because I don't believe as they do, THOSE people Offend me. Since they will kill you for telling the truth about them, they are actively dangerous. DARE you to bitch about them. The Fuddy duddy folk who's major hangups are not "slaughter the Infidel" but are hung up on sex, feel free to pick on them. Yes, some of the "sex guilt as means of control" folk also agree in your "god given rights". IMHO bitching about the "god given" part is childish. Bitching about the sex hangups folk is funny, ( and will offend them even more, hint, hint, troll ) and I bet you won't bitch about the Religion of Jihad because of cowardice. |

Just pointing out that you are in fact claiming a whole group of hypocrisy without being able to back any of it up. When called on it you dance around who the comment was even aimed at. Truth matters. Perhaps not to you though. |

ok sifo, lets point something out specifically since this thread talks about terrorists and traitors etc "Yes it is time to put this one in a box seat at Ford Theater, or in a 63 Lincoln drop top in front of a grassed knoll and a book depot." Talking about how it is time to have a president killed is pretty traitorous, and that is terrorist talk But no, its ok here on BadWeb because its about Obama, not random citizens. there are many examples here on badweb of people being against one person/group for their actions, but backing another for similar hypocrites. |

There are a number of reasons not to mention assasunation. ( yes, I pelled it wrong ) First, the moral aspects of taking a human life without due process. second, history shows the expected result is not what happens, ( except, sometimes, temporarily, when one despot deposes another ) The WW1 was the result of a "separatist" movement, and the result was an incredible amount of dead people, and the separation DID take place but many years later and was probably delayed, decades, by the Arch Duke's death. third, even though the person discussed has claimed the power to order your death, it's not yours to call for his. Hypocrite? sure. Still, leave the mass murder to the Leftists, they are so much better at killing people than......... everything else on Earth. ( more murdered by those embracing Obama's faith than by any other cause, ever. Including War. ) fourth, this is "public speech" I support your right to say stupid things, and my right to mock you. You can't have free speech without both. ( vice-versa applies, obviously ) But this exact subset of Free Speech has consequences. Mostly a hostile attitude on the part of humorless men doing a very hard job for someone they don't like either. If you have anything that could even be considered, remotely, as a weapon or explosive in your home ( or evil overlord lair ), and your comments attract the attention of the SS, expect trouble far beyond the normal. Fifth, even people that agree that a public figure who can get away with lies, murder, war, and massive corruption, deserves jail time he will never get, going vigilante isn't the way to deal. Revolution? Carrying any pictures of Chairman Mao? Ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow. And if you want the wind of change To blow about you And you're the only other person to know, don't tell me Xdigitalx, I'm sorry, My bad, seem to have lost track of the original factual statement. Can you repeat it simply? |

Ok, ok, lazy streak over, ( had to mow lawn ) This is the relevant comments, right? I shudder at the thought of so easily revoking someones GOD GIVEN RIGHTS that have been fought for and paid in blood. Be as mad as you want but do not loose your humanity, THATS what makes us the good guys. In this case.. and any case like it ... I disagree. God given? R u serious? Yeah, you have a point. No rights for terrorists, period. Correct? I have to comment, that attitude has it's issues. Like Eugenics, seems like a good idea, I can make a logical argument for it, but in the real world people with serious flaws make life and death decisions based on religion, greed, vengeance, etc. When GWB was Prez, and some liked that certain "security" measures were going to be done, to us, I was concerned about the Next Prez to have that power. We now see that the Next Prez took the temporary power Congress gave to GWB, made it stronger, permanent, and His. To the fans of BHO, do you want, just for example, some as yet unknown Tea Party Christian Conservative having the power to arrest, detain, and disappear, with no trial or even announcement of prisoner status to family, someone considered, BY HIM to be a threat to what HE believes is the American Way Of Life??? Scares me. Why not you? I already covered why our "god given" rights were, and are marketed that way. It's far shorter, and less ambiguous than a long winded weasel worded version "natural rights not granted by man but claimed to all men as built in inherent organic........................" Some people are offended by the very mention of a supernatural being. That was Not so common 200+ years ago, and those who were ( and they existed ) often were too polite, or smart to rub other's noses in the "wrong headed/gullible/sadly mistaken" beliefs. Smart, because anywhere but HERE the official displeasure at such comments could be death. Even here, in the last few centuries, mocking the majorities faith wasn't a good way to influence people. America never had the Monolithic Religious straight jacket other places had, but in large groups, people are easily led to violence by the Shaman whose rice bowl is threatened. As shown by the religious nature of the terrorist attack on the people of Boston and the planet there for the Marathon, religion can be a powerful force for good, or evil, because of the way it shapes the minds of men. |

I really can't say that I see the hypocrisy that you are speaking of. What's more, the quote you've taken out of context is referencing what has happened in history, that when a puppet leader has served his purpose, the puppet master disposes of the tool. This wasn't a threat made by the poster, or an attempt to incite others to do that. I guess you failed to see the point of the post. |

you are ridiculous sifo and a hypocrite . Really? Is it ridiculous to actually read, in it's entirety, what was posted? Here's the entire post.
quote:I believe he BELIEVES what he is saying, in that he has an agenda at every point he opens his mouth. That none of it is new, nor his, is quite telling if you have read history. Yes it is time to put this one in a box seat at Ford Theater, or in a 63 Lincoln drop top in front of a grassed knoll and a book depot. And when he has served the meme of the overlords pulling his strings - it will be done. Call it the Presidential Half life Lincoln to Kennedy - 100 years Kennedy to this guy - 50 years Idiot x to the other guy 25 years next chump to door knob 12 years moron to •••••• 6 years and so on enjoy the show - it kicks off soon
Read the first line before what you pulled out... "That none of it is new, nor his, is quite telling if you have read history." Can it be more clear that he is discussing how things have gone in the past? Then the point is made that based upon past history, it's about time to repeat what has been done in the past. That would be the Ford Theater, and 63 Lincoln reference that you pulled out. Who is he saying will do this though? You claim that he is calling for it to be done, either by himself, or someone reading this. Here's what he posted right after that sentence though... "And when he has served the meme of the overlords pulling his strings - it will be done." If you actually read what he wrote, he's saying it will be done by those "pulling the strings". Put in context, he isn't even close to what you claimed he was saying. The rest of the post is historical examples. I'm not going as far as agreeing with the post, but at least I can read and comprehend his point. I will say that this is a typical conversation with a liberal. When pressed for facts you get distortions and lies. |

Hybrid is engaging in classic Passive Aggressive behavior. Mr. "I'm just a dude" doesn't realize that most here are simply engaging in debate and no one is getting "riled up". The irony is that one would expect a self professed "history major" to enthusiastically debate ideas rather than showing troll like behavior to his audience. "take care bud": nice touch. I am no good at typing my thoughts very well.. gets boring after a while much I'd rather do it in person so you get the full context. Carry on, and have a wonderful day. Since I'm now officially unclear on everyones position......... I have some issues with "Stoner" and the whole Miranda rights thing. Somethings weird here. 1st, he should have been read his rights as a Citizen upon arrest. 2nd, who sent a Judge to his hospital room? 3rd, did the judge read him his rights? Why? was he under arrest? Will he be? 4th, Was he blabbing under pain meds? Was he read his rights before talking? The legal admissibility of his statements in a trial, if NOT read Miranda, or if intoxicated, is diddle. If you don't care about his "confession" because you figure he's nailed on evidence & the shootout w/witnesses, then I suppose any information you can get to bust his, or another's cell would be useful. My point is that naturalized or not, he has rights, and so would you if you were busted for terrorism/attempted mass murder. There are political aspects here, closely related to Bengazi and the multiple lies of this administration. What's the deal with the "film maker" that was arrested per Hillary's command?? |

"If you don't care about his "confession" because you figure he's nailed on evidence & the shootout w/witnesses, then I suppose any information you can get to bust his, or another's cell would be useful." Bill Ayers was nailed on evidence, but the case was thrown out due to government misconduct. A very bad man went free. The same can happen here. Since the powers that be have decided to try him in civilian court, all the normal rules apply. Reading him his rights was the right thing to do in order to preserve our ability to use what he says against him. If it were up to me, since he is a citizen, he'd be on trial for treason as well as murder, and not in a civilian court, since he targeted civilians while committing an act of war as part of a larger jihad against the United States. |

There wasn't even a need to charge him while he was in the hospital, much less read him his rights. They could have simply camped outside his room (which they were going to do anyway) and grabbed him as soon as he was ready to leave the hospital. Until then he's just "a person of interest" that they are free to talk to and still use anything he says in court, even if he was on medication. |

You don't have to be arrested to invoke your right to remain silent. The law requires that you be informed of your rights prior to being questioned. The constitution guarantees that you can not be made to incriminate yourself, not just that you can not be made to incriminate yourself if you've been arrested. |

The police talk to people all the time prior to arresting them. It's true that you can assert your right to not say anything, but they don't have to read you your rights until they arrest you. If for example, you shoot someone in self defense, lets use George Zimmerman for example. Weeks went by before he was ever charged and read his rights. Everything that he has said to the police, or publicly can be used against him. It's why if you ask a good lawyer what to do in a situation like that, they will advise you to not make a statement. |
