Hey all I've got a Garmin Nuvi 465T, of course it's got all the Europe stuff I need in it but has no N America maps. Anybody got US & Canada on a file they can e-mail me, then I can stick it on an SD card & shove it in the slot for when I come over. Car rental people want 9 bucks a day for navigation. |

Wouldn't do any good, it'd have to be unlocked. My copy is locked to my Zumo 660. |

Yea Garmin's maps have protections on them to prevent exactly what you are planning. How long will you be here? What about a free phone based program like Waze? If your phone service won't rape you on the data, it would be worth it. |

When are you coming? I can send you mine, ship it back to me when you leave. |

AH spit, Coming over for 10 days end of April Matt but the shipping would be more than buying a cheapo gps when we get there. I'll have a look on Garmin's website & see how much for the mapping. Have to say it's the first & last Garmin for me, I've not been at all impressed with it or the company. |

You can probably pick up a tom-tom for cheap and survive ten days without tossing it out a window... Couple of our big stores stateside are Best Buy (.com), WalMart, and Radio Shack - if you want to e-browse for some pricing. |
