A business trip called me to London this week, where I decided to spend my first day in town making a pilgrimage to the famous Ace Cafe. No show or scheduled gathering, just dining riders who refused to let the rain keep them off the road.

Hey, It's England. If you don't ride in rain, you don't ride! Hope you enjoyed it there! Chris C |

Blimey, I can hardly remember the last time I blatted round the North Circular, it was certainly before it reopened in '97. Early '90s we used to race on the N circular at night, in tractor trailer rigs, running empty from Kodak in Harrow round to Ford at Dagenham, last one in paid for the teas & coffees. Glad you had a good time Matt, did you enjoy the "Tube" ? |

It was my 3rd trip to London and I enjoy the convenience and atmosphere of the tube every time. My hotel was right above the Lancaster Gate station. Taxi schmaxi. I wanted to rent a bike and arrive at the Ace properly on two wheels, but travel fatigue, the weather, and the backwardness of left-side driving seemed to be a formula for disaster. Perhaps my next trip. The only disappointment: the Ace serves Nescafé instead of "real" coffee. |

Cool. I almost went there on my last London trip, but wasn't sure if I could trust a company laptop in "left luggage" at Paddington. Maybe next time... |
