What the hell is the deal with .22LR? Have the factories stopped cranking it out? I just came back from BassPro in Foxboro and they were out. I asked the counter guy and he said that they aren't shipping as much as they used to. He said they sell out in under an hour when they get a new shipment. What the hell is this crap? Michele was able to purchase 5 boxes of 9mm FMJ this morning from Cabelas online. Federal American Eagle 124 gr for $15.99/box. Not outrageously priced at all. Big kudos to Cabelas, Midway USA, Palmetto State Armory and others who are not price gouging. I've taken note of the retailers who are and will cross them off my list. | ||

Those mentioned are also out of stock of most anything worth buying. I need but a few small parts to finish my project and they are proving hard to find! So far I've ordered from Model 1 Sales, M&A Parts, and Weapons Outfitters. All have had product available and at good prices (though Model 1 has terrible shipping prices). On to the 2nd issue, it's a simple matter of a few fudds believing they have the right to tell America what we "need" to defend ourselves. If they think they can ban the most popular firearms in the America...it's definitely going to be an uphill battle. New Yorkers seem to have responded to the SAFE Act with a quiet defiance. The time may come where they'll have to either fight or submit. | ||

Yes they are and at least two New York state county sheriffs said they are pro 2nd Amendment and defying NY's mayor in an interview on Fox news. Its slowly starting to come back to some sense of whats right and wrong in this country but how long can we last with uncontrolled spending and ridiculous legislation by the current administration? They are seeking to ban the most common weapons in America. They seem to have little idea that this is the case. These are no longer fringe firearms. Thanks to national attention through the years everyone wants the modern semi-auto pistol and rifle. Anything that's good enough for the feds and police will work just fine for me. The modern double stack pistol came into its own in the 1930's, and the AK's, AR's, and other "modern sporting" rifles have also been around for ages. Get over it. | ||

Received my lifetime NRA credentials yesterday which is a good deal for $300. I am not particularly enamored with guns but I have a life long passionate love affair with the US Constitution. Contributions to the NRA will help elect Conservatives and assist in unseating so-called Liberals or whichever name is in fashion that Liberals skulk behind. If the $300 lifetime NRA membership is available, you should take advantage of it. |
