http://www.americanthinker.com/2013/02/why_blacks_ and_women_should_not_have_guns.html

As someone who greatly enjoys teaching martial arts to women, ( men too ) I'm more than a bit insulted. Rep. Salazar can kiss my shiny metal A$$. ( I know girls half his size that can kick his )

The rest, how Gun control in the United States is almost entirely a racist action by the D party to protect their action arm, the KKK, I've known for years.

The NRA started teaching gun safety and marksmanship in Black Churches in the South shortly after it was formed. The D's have never forgiven the NRA for that.

My heart was warmed the other day, my youngest son, the black sheep of the family took a break from M'ffen' me long enough to ask for help working on his girlfriends car. He was truely appreciative to me after 4-5 months of not speaking with me. but I digress...it was rumored that he had pawned all of the handguns that I had transferred to him while going through a divorce(prevent them from being listed as assets(listen up men)) When we got as far as possible on the car his girly invited me in for some food and we started talking and lo and behold the discussion came around to guns and I found out he in fact did not pawn all of my handguns for first months rent...(LOL...what are you doing to do when next months rent comes due?) Anyways I gave the little kids running around money for college, the girlfriend some money to tuck in her bra and left with a smile! Life is good!

Well, while I'm anxiously awaiting Daytona in 10 days and some good riding weather, below is a little news from the great "free" state of Utah. It will probably pass here and is pending in 26 other states and might be found unconstitutional but we're trying.

From a local newspaper: Stated bill: "any employee or officer at the federal, state or local level may not enforce and federal laws or regulations related to guns in Utah"

I believe US citizens who are not slaves have to push back and not be complacent about what is trying to be done to all our rights and vote intelligently for a better country eventually and more like it was just four years ago. We were the greatest nation in the world in all ways and will be again. As my NRA hat states "vote freedom first"

Isn't it odd that states are expected to enforce federal gun bans, but are barred from enforcing federal immigration laws?

isn't it odd that it will be found unconstitutional for the states to ban the enforcement of unconstitutional federal laws?

Illinois just had their annual IGOLD event (Illinois Gun Owners Lobby Day).

The Daily Herold finally covered the story for the first time. They said "hundreds" attended the event. I don't think they count so well. Organizers estimated about 8,000 attended. Nice turnout for a mid-week event that requires most people to take multiple days off of work to attend.

The Chicago Tribune had some good pictures of the event at least.

More from the Trib... http://galleries.apps.chicagotribune.com/chi-130306-illinois-gun-owners-lobby-day-pictures/

And one of a good friend who attended...

It's a good turn out considering that I know a number of buses from the northern part of Illinois canceled due to the snow storm the night before the event.

Too bad they had to rally for what is already a constitutional right in most places.

While I believe that sentence accurately assesses the current situation, I'm not sure if you intended to point out the bizarre fact that many citizens in our country are being denied Constitutional rights because of local laws. Where is the ACLU on this?

Exactly my meaning Tom, and it only seems to be in the more liberal areas of our great country. It also seems like the ACLU only comes forward to counter those things THEY believe in. They (the ACLU) are one of the most liberal organizations in the world. Why would they try to help with 2nd Amendment rights. Hypocritical for sure.

Our esteemed Senator Diane Feinstein is trying to re-educate Americans resistant to her ideas.

quote:

“The time has come, America, to step up and ban these weapons. The other very important part of this bill is to ban large capacity ammunition feeding devices, those that hold more than 10 rounds.

We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines. Limiting magazine capacity is critical because it is when a criminal, a drug dealer, a deranged individual has to pause to change magazines and reload that the police or brave bystanders have the opportunity to take that individual down.”

.
.
.

“The problem with expanding this is that, you know, with the advent of PTSD, which I think is a new phenomenon as a product of the Iraq War, it’s not clear how the seller or transferrer of a firearm covered by this bill would verify that an individual was a member, or a veteran, and that there was no impairment of that individual with respect to having a weapon like this.”

That type of re-education used to require special "camps".

We've already done the magazine ban and AW ban from 1994-2004 and it was found to be ineffective, save for neutering some political careers.

I said nothing about giving up anything.

I am a lifetime NRA member, I have written my representatives, and I believe that anyone that wishes to strip me of my right to self protection is an enemy of the state.

This was my letter to local, state, and national reps when the madness began (my letter to FineSwine was flat out rejected due to being from out of state).

quote:

We need support on our side. Our voice is not the voice that is being heard. We are the gun
owners of America that are being vilified daily. We are the voice of reason.

It has been clear that the goal of "Gun Control" is to incrementally disarm the law-abiding
public. It is not about public safety, and it has been proven ineffective at thwarting
crime by any measurable degree; often resulting in quite the opposite. "Assault Weapons"
bans have equally proven a largely political measure, as these guns are already regulated,
new manufacture is already limited, and federal regulation controls their ownership, as an
assault rifle is a machinegun by definition. I do not believe that it is a coincidence that
most crime and even most mass shootings occur in "gun free" zones and occur in some of the
most restrictive states in the Union.

Please let us be heard; not the media hype, not in out leaders' lies to the nation, but in
real action. Punishing the many for the acts of a wayward few is not an answer. Our rights
were not meant to be negotiable. Banning "clips" over ten rounds have never saved a life.
Demonizing inanimate objects will not stop violent crime. The root goes much deeper. Lets
protect our schools and children and help those with mental health concerns. Let us arm
ourselves to protect one another and our own with our arms of choice. Once a rational is
accepted as to what constitutes a "sporting" firearm, the end has begun. This is not about
sport, it's about freedom.

Let's stop punishing and blaming the law-abiding, gun owning public for the evil of others.
I am proud to live in a free state and a free nation. Let's not forget or trivialize the
ideals of our founding fathers.

Insofar as it relieves Washington of the need to think strategically about the nature of the enemy, the drone is part of the problem. But its technology is too convenient a gift for government to forswear at home. America takes an ever more expansive view of police power, and, while the notion of unmanned drones patrolling the heartland may seem absurd, lots of things that seemed absurd a mere 15 years ago are now a routine feature of life. Not so long ago, it would have seemed not just absurd but repugnant and un-American to suggest that the state ought to have the power to fondle the crotch of a seven-year-old boy without probable cause before permitting him to board an airplane. Yet it happened, and became accepted, and is unlikely ever to be reversed.

......Two years ago in this space, I noted that the U.S. secretary of education, who doesn’t employ a single teacher, is the only education minister in the developed world with his own SWAT team: He used it to send 15 officers to kick down a door in Stockton, Calif., drag Kenneth Wright out onto the front lawn, and put him in handcuffs for six hours. Erroneously, as it turned out. But it was in connection with his estranged wife’s suspected fraudulent student-loan application, so you can’t be too careful. That the education bureaucracy of the Brokest Nation in History has its own Seal Team Six is ridiculous and offensive. Yet the citizenry don’t find it so: They accept it.

Both, as far as I can see.

Take the TSA for example, AKA obedience training for the middle class.

We've had a Senator, more than once, auto selected for harassment. The metal detector is programmed to go off, no matter what it senses, every X number of people, to semi-randomly choose people to harass.

There are actually good reasons to do so, both logical and evil. While it makes sense to pay closer attention to obvious young to middle age folk with beards and that "islamic look" we are FORBIDDEN to do so from a combination of well done propaganda & influence by terrorist groups like CAIR, and the insane reasoning of the lefty loon side of gov & ngo groups. ( like the ACLU )

So it makes sense to do random checks in the vain hope of catching people you are not allowed to use your brain to do. ( I suspect they actually cheat, someone in the monitor room can push a button to select a harassee, and that person might actually use judgment. More likely he picks hot blondes, but one can always hope )

The other very good reason for random checks is eventually, the enemy will change tactics to match our security. After all, we publish all the rules, and it's easy to alter your plans to go after the weaknesses. So, while today, blonde milfs dressed as power executives haven't been the vector for bombings & hijacking, they would be a good choice if we actually watched for the current threat, 20-30's males with certain cultural visual cues. ( since we don't they don't have to change tactics, but they could. )

The evil reason is to create fear in the hearts of citizens. AND condition you to obedience from the Guardians Of The State.

I recall a while back a congresswoman going off because the Capitol cop doing security asked for ID. Being a total smeghead, highly impressed with her own importance, she tried to get him fired, and the story, briefly, went news.

While it's certainly true both parties produce smegheads, highly impressed with their own importance, Because this smeghead was a D she got big support from the media and the policeman was called racist. When the Senator is harassed by the TSA, repeatedly, he gets little coverage because he's a R. (and additional odds on harassment, because he has complained. )

Meanwhile we are living in a full court press of anti-gun, anti-NRA, and anti gun owner propaganda. From the children whose lives are disrupted because they drew a gun in school, ( not pulled one out and shot anyone, put pencil to paper and did kid art ) to the increasing number of gun owners in prison, to every false impression in every days "news" reports, WE the American People and our rights are under attack.

Quick question, does anyone here, who lives in New York and it's fresh new SAFE Act ( passed illegally or not ) plan to actually obey it? ( no one I know is )

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02/20/univers ity-of-colorado-removes-safety-tip-sheet-advising- rape-victims-to-vomit-urinate/

As a women's libber with a strong dislike for rape, this offends me too. ( I see no reason to arrest someone caught in the act of rape. Turning them over to the nearest militant lesbian Sorority, maybe. )

It is said that 7 of 8 tactics used by women to avoid rape, get them beat up more, mutilated or killed. ( #8 is shoot the rapist, dead rapists don't hurt you. )
