From the link. "You can download the poster file here and take to any FedEx office and have a FULL SIZE high quality poster printed." I would imagine Kinkos could do it as well. |

from one of the posters... GAC says: March 4, 2013 at 8:56 PM The trouble with most of the riding public is this infatuation with racing. A japanese clone (not really changed since the CB750) or what ever european stylists tell us what is cool, really misses the point of riding and enjoying. Racing is not motorcycling. Race bikes only share fairing shapes and paint jobs. They are not one bit close to whatever is seen on the showroom floor. But thats a waste of breath. Most Buell riders want a bike they can ride…and ride. Not to be ridden wound out. You dont need to ride wound out and if you do, your living a personal dream. I was trying to talk to a Buell rider who was complaining of arm pump. Now either he heard this catchy phrase from some written or broadcasted source or he was doing some sort of X-treme new age exercise. Arm pump on a bike designed with so much torque there is no reason to overshift shift gears it’s puzzling. My wife does just fine with no “arm pump. Between our 2 Buells, his and hers, we have about 14,000 miles of canyon roads. Fun. Yeah I can rail a corner and dream too. But virtually no maintenence. Keep fresh skins and Amsoil in them and ride. The Buell is a wonderful durable quick bike. But the magazine driven masses have taken over. Riding for the sake of riding is gone. Riding and listening to your particular motor soundtrack… enjoying effortless cornering… and the slight personal improvements that make the bike do what you want to do without derailing what the designer intended is long gone. Erik sold alot of Buells to a fragment of riders who like them and who now have to shop in Germany where they are popular enough to generate a large aftermarket. Yeah, Germany… H-D’s lack of looking past handle bar tassels and chinese made american apperal, trend following sheep and the media Killed Buell for the sake of the new regurgitated model lines from abroad that have to sell. I’m not knocking other bikes, just the wanna be’s who took over motorcycling. And I do know they drive the marketing machine… but for a 5th generation american motorcylist, the Buell was as good as it gets for an american sportbike. Do we really need anything else? Thats a personal choice, and that I understand. I wear wranglers, eat cheeseburgers and love blondes. Maybe it would be different if I was a well read, bullshitting wine, cheese and sushi guy. Enjoy your bike and be safe. its all about fun. SO HAVE FUN! Not Achaic, well proven. about sums it up for me! |

We do high end printing on several types of paper, check out the link Chauly suggested. It's not just canvas. I can't work out any discounts, so the questions of sponsors are moot. We do good work, we're not inexpensive, but we are good, and we are quick. The poster looks great on "Premium Luster Photo Paper" and will run you about $80.00 delivered in the US. This is framing quality, and the website will also walk you through a framed version. We ship any where in the world. My job is to make sure my folks do it right, and get it to you quickly. Call 800-221-0262 if you need help. |

No, I let UPS do all the heavy lifting! Now we are a nice ride down the road, and only an hour or so off the BR parkway in High Point,NC and we do have a willcall service for customer pickups. It's getting warmer out, might make a good ride, we'll roll it in a tube for you too! |

My choice of topic had more to do with the fact that we seem to talk about anything BUT Buells lately. It was "ironic" or "sarcastic" depending on your point of view. But I did want to bring that article to everyone's attention here, since it was up at the Asphalt & Rubber site for a couple of days and I didn't see any discussion about it here (we're too busy talking about guns and politics to talk about Erik's motorcycles anymore). |

Kmbuell Are you making a profit off of that printing? If so that was not the intent of the poster when it was put up? Are you a sponsor here? I am. And I do printing and photography work for sale here. I also would be careful about publicly saying you will print this. Not sure how A&R has the permission to tell people to download and print this. They might but I tend to doubt it. Just a little insite. Michael |

A&R DIDN'T say anyone could download and print it. Court Canfield did back in December 2009. Hootowl posted the link above, but in case you missed it: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/17/ 524959.html?1261934288 |

This is what there link says: "Click Here for a Printable High-Resolution PDF Version" You are right they did not. But nether did Court. He was stating what he tought was a possiblity. In reallity it is illegal to have anybody print this without the creators approval. I do know it was posted for the buell owners and fans to have. And that making a profit off of it was not the intent. Also advertising a service here without being a sponsor is not right when people like me do this kind of work and have paid to be a sponsor here. Things like this just get under my skin because I have had many of my photos stolen and used and money made from them without getting anything for it. Even a few company's that we all know and love. Sorry Jamie but it does not. Read a few posts down where he states he has nothing to do with the creation of this image. So it is impossible to give that permission. Also all the images used to create this were problably illegally used. I would think HD owns the rights to those images. Not even the person who created the collage. |

The point is unless the printer has permission to print this directly from the owner of these images and the creator of the collage it is illegal to print it Period |

Also twin motorcycle is using that image on one of its Facebook pages as its profile photo. This is also illegal unless they have a signed release. Michael |

RKC: This is the passage where (I believe) he indicates he has permission to make the images available:
quote:By the way . . . . I can take NO CREDIT for this. This was done by some of the best of the best and when you see the high resolution version . . . you'll get a sense for the quality. The two versions are not the same as the larger one was arranged a bit differently to make things more legible . . there is a LOT of information that was just collected to put this together. Merry Christmas from an anonymous, and VERY TALENTED, "Guru of Graphics".
Knowing how both Blake AND Court are VERY VERY cautious of the legal implications of things that go on here, I do not believe anything illegal has occurred. |

I have to take the side of caution and agree with Michael. In another part of that thread someone specifically asked about copyright issues. Court's response:
quote:"AS the saying goes . . .ownership is "complicated". It's intended for folks to download and use personally. I'm sure they'll be showing up on e-bay within a week like the other old Buell posters. If you have any interest beyond personal use, drop me a note and I'll get you on contact with the creator. (that sounds pretty awesome eh? )"
I think if someone is printing for profit, there are copyright issues. That's consistent with my understanding of copyrights. And while I'm not an attorney, I HAVE stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. |

Here is a small portion of an email I received from Court this morning "The poster was (and is) owned jointly by Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the other firm who was contracted to do the work and prepare the poster." "Printing the posters would be both a legal and an ethical violation." Hope this puts an end to this discussion Michael |

"Hootowl posted the link above" Interestingly enough, I got that link from the link to asphaltandrubber.com in the first post. Asphaltandrubber.com had a link to badweb under the poster. I see that it has been changed, and now asphaltandrubber.com is hosting the PDF themselves. |

Before they changed it A-hole and Rubber was directly hotlinking to the large image file on my website, stealing the bandwidth that I pay for. I ended up changing the URL and redirecting it to a picture of a realistic looking dead baby cake getting cut up. Now A-hole and Rubber has just gone and flat out stole the the files and is hosting it themselves. The same author of this article, Jensen Beeler made that BS "joke" posting about EBR getting bought out by Bombardier a few years back. I can't stand blogspam these days. |

That's not very nice of them. When I followed the link last week, the link went to badweb, which is the link I pasted in my first post. Sounds like they've changed it a couple of times. |

Jesus Fing Christ - (I'm guessing that line will be red flagged by someone)- As a recovering alcoholic - I got to say Rule 62 people. Except for the "for profit deal"; stop taking yourselves so damn seriously over a poster meant for everyone. For free at this point. And Km never said there was any profit. Only that no discounts were available. If I were doing the printing and making the poster available, I'd charge people what it cost to do the printing and shipping. Of course Court just sent an email which basically has "Covering My Ass" written at the top. The company that created it probably wouldn't mind some love, as is right. But I have a feeling HD paid them to create it. And HD lawyers have been told flat out not to spend ANY resources defending Buell intellectual property. Print the Fing poster. Your not getting sued. And except the dude that created it, if making a profit; screw HD and any ethical worries. IMO. But please if making a profit and listing on badweb do become a sponsor. Again IMO. And RULE 62 the majority of things on this site these days. Again(twice) IMO. >>>H-D’s lack of looking past handle bar tassels and chinese made american apperal, trend following sheep and the media Killed Buell for the sake of the new regurgitated model lines from abroad that have to sell. Awesome line. |
